  1. We are definitely not alone other club's fans will target the player(s) who they consider the weakest link unfortunately it's a sad state of affairs where Social Media creates an opportunity for footballers get brutally judged online. We are all guilty of that to some extent (I certainly am) some are far worse than it than others. I think what sets us apart is that we have seen nothing but failure for 30 years we've never been through the process of growth resulting in 1 maybe 2 promotions and a growth of the club. I think if you asked fans of clubs who have gone through that I.e. Luton they will probably tell you that the journey they went on a huge number of ups and downs. It comes back to that meme you often see on social media between what people to percieve growth to look like a long straight line upwards and what it actually looks like which is a line that zig zags up and down left right in a circle before you get to the destination. We are on that journey right now we are nowhere near the zenith of that journey and I've come to accept that not everyone will see the progress being made right now but it is being made.
  2. It seems to be our Trolls and there trolls have abit of a tit for tat on Facebook and I'm sure happens on twitter too.
  3. I find that dissapointing too. I'm sure he's frustrated by not winning today and yes maybe he did have to be somewhereelse but at the end of the day he's employed by the club and given a very good contract and the people in the sponsors lounge will be paying a big contribution to that contract and will have been supporting the club a long time before he came and after he's gone. He's not going to get a Jeremy Paxmam style grilling from anyone they will just want to hear him talk. It's not asking too much. I went in earlier this season and Will Sutton came in before the game, and Mark Kitching came in after. Both of whom were Gentlemen and were both Professional if they can do that, then it shouldn't be too much to ask from the star striker.
  4. The ignore facility is best deployed for such fuckwits.
  5. Reluctant to say that games are must win as they haven't been so far this season but with 7 games to go I think we are in that territory now. We sit on 59 points 5 wins and a draw allowing for 1 defeat gets us to 75 points that will be enough to get in the play offs. The 2 local aways at Altrincham on Easter Monday and Halifax (whenever that is) look really crucial as they both the teams around us. The Run in Dagenham A - Won't be easy but winnable we've got to go there and get 3 points a scruffy 1-0 will do Fylde H - Need to put these away get a good win that should ferment us in the play offs. Altrincham A - the toughest of the final games Mustn't lose a repeat of earlier this season will be enough. Halifax TBA - another tough one again Mustn't lose but hopefully with a big away following we can get something. They have had the Indian sign over us in our 2 years in the NL with 3 loses to them on what will be a tough pitch I'd take a point if offered. Rochdale H - Their season will be over but that may allow them to play with freedom a local Derby and a decent crowd could see them stick their chest out still we've got to out them away and get the win. Oxford City A- Will be relegated by this point but again with nothing to lose they might play with a new found freedom still we will need to out them away and get 3 points. Wealdstone H - If we pull out the results that I say we can above (4 wins 2 draws) we will probably have top 7 all but sewn up or atleast in our hands They will hopefully be safe by then and be bringing there flip-flops. If its in our hands going into this game and we fuck it up we don't deserve top 7. We could of course be going into this with a chance of 4th or 5th if we are I hope we take advantage. Either way get them put away. Absolutely no reason why we can't get the results required to get top 7 certainly if we play like we did today against what will be lesser opponents.
  6. Quite a bold move by National League TV to not show about 10% of the actual game. I'm not seeing it catching on in sports broadcasting though.
  7. Same here first time I've used this and for an hour I wondered what the problem was now I see why.
  8. Let's not forget Chesterfield have plenty of fire power on the bench which they will call on in the second half.
  9. I know its not a high bar but was that the best half of football we've seen at BP this season?
  10. Looks like we are now seeing the real Andrew Dallas that we were told about. He's caused them problems this 1st half.
  11. Can someone confirm is this a 4-4-2 with a right side of Mcgahey at RB and Lundstrum at RM? Or is it a 3-5-2 with Lundstrum RWB?
  12. I mean at the end of the day he's a long serving volunteer at the club so we should cut him some slack. Looked a soft gosl that. Game on I suppose.
  13. Yeah I paid I went on logged on national league TV went to match centre all seems fine. I now see why Roy annoys people abit.
  14. We are only outside the top 7 on goal difference still some twists and turns to come I still think we can get top 5. It wouldn't require a miracle to do that.
  15. Things aren't as bad as they seem I think BP1960 is a good contributor to this board he knows more about players than I ever will. Without wanting to make excuses I've spent the last couple of days off after surgery on my ear so perhaps I was feeling abit tetchy this morning coming down off the anaesthetic. But overall we mustn't lose sight of the fact we are in a good position and even if we slip out of the play off spots tonight we can well get into them by the end of the season. Even then if we don't go up we are well positioned next season to take the next step. It's March time and we are looking up at the play offs rather than survival it's a welcome change.
  16. We've had quite a heavy run of fixtures recently playing Saturday Tuesday quite abit maybe Tonight's postponement might be a blessing in disguise giving us an extra couple of days rest before what will be a very tough game on Saturday. From here we have 8 games to go 5 wins 2 draws takes us to 75 points that will get us top 7 and into the play offs for the first time in 17 years. It might be less than that, that's required but it's a very achievable goal.
  17. Libellous come on! you've said numerous times on here that you have recommended players and the club have not taken you up on them. Your posts have been pretty critical of the current management team despite clear progress being made on the pitch. Now I apologise if that has caused offence but that's the perception I'm getting is that you are holding a grudge because of this.
  18. We all know it's because he hasn't responded to your emails. This grudge that your holding is starting to grate.
  19. But sometimes it's best to have someone look at it from outside. If we zoom out and look at the big picture we can see the club going in the right direction. Their will be plenty more hiccups on the way but we are going to get back to the football league and when we do losing out shit about a defeat at Aldershot will be seen as the trivial bump in the road that it actually was.
  20. For a club at our level or any club below the championship 6 in and 6 out is a tweak due to the high turnover of players the majority of whom are on 1 and 2 year deals.
  21. The problems aren't that deep we aren't talking about the Lemsagams era of chaos or the Corney era of sell anything we can get our hands on. The team is top 7 and has been showing top 7 form for 14 months now. I expect us to finish there. We're on course to get to the play offs. When Mellon came in we would have taken that. Interms of my views on Unsworth well I believe while it didn't work out we played it right overall we gave him the right amount of time he just ran out of road I'd hope we take the same approach with Mellon. We only sack the manager as a last resort not on a whim.
  22. Say what you want he hasn't had alot of time at all. I think the Lemsagam era has deluded a few people to think that 6 months is a long enough period to turn tnings round 360. We can sack him if you want but the policy of sacking the manager to win promotion currently has a 100% failure rate, when we've done it over the last 54 years. Ironically we accuse managers of not learning lessons.
