    Surely the best way to judge how good/bad your career is in a given field is by the amount you're paid. Therefore bettering bank balance and bettering career generally go hand in hand. I don't think you can argue that he'd have been better off staying here in terms of his future career either. Just look at Chris Taylor - by staying, he's less in demand now than he used to be.

    Bloody hell, just read that article - if only he lived up to the hype eh? I think we've definitely not seen the best of him but can't argue with the decision to let him go, he's not done enough this year.

    I do think the new badge looks a little amateur. I'm not sure a 6 year old could come up with it but it could be from a 16 year old's GCSE project - looks like its been cobbled together in paintshop. Its better woven on the kit though.

    Haha, they're probably not quite so polar! Based on the whole season I'd get rid of Feeney too, mainly 'cause he's injury prone and seems more interested in playing for N Ireland. Taking today's game in isolation, I thought he put in a good shift and was unlucky not to score.

    There was the penalty he never gave for Macken's handball too. I think he said it was ball to hand when Macken clearly had his hands in front of his face! The linesman in front of the Main Stand was one of the worst I've ever seen. Seemed to get every decision wrong, for both teams.

    Not sure what game you were watching today but Feeney did ok considering all we did was lump it up to him. Reid on the other hand was useless, not sure why you'd want to keep him. Don't think he even challenged for one header today.

    Absolutely. Clubs should be interviewing the best people for the job. It would be unlikely but what if we'd interviewed Ince at the expense of Dickov? From the BBC article: "Ince said it was "really hard to comprehend" that would-be managers could lose out on jobs because of their colour." If he's speaking from experience he's deluded. He's losing out on jobs because he's useless.

    Knowing our luck, he'll accept it then put in a transfer request at Christmas and go for a bag of manure.

    Gutted, I was hoping my free shirt from Skipton would do for another season! If its shirt/shop related and AH is describing it a significant piece of the club's history then he really has lost the plot.

    I remember a rumour a while back that he's the highest paid player at the club (or was last season). If that's true I highly doubt we'd be offering him the same terms.

    Most people are still working at 60 these days. I'd be pretty aggrieved if my dad (who has more money than me) got his ticket for half the price of mine (he's just turned 60). When he's a poor pensioner at 65 however, I won't mind so much. The pricing should be means tested, Dickov out!

    I think he's young enough that we'd be eligible for compensation if we offered him a contract and he moved elsewhere.
