  1. Unless Bruce Springsteen's involved or you like hookers, Manchester's a better night out than Barcelona by a long way! On a serious note, if they were to swap Richards for Alves with no cash involved, would we get a cut of "value" of the deal?
  2. We might not be leading on any of those things but put them all together and we probably do come out on top. I'm not sure I'd describe us as the most dominant but we certainly carry a lot of political clout and influence worldwide. And thinking about it from a sporting view, how many other European teams have decent Rugby, Cricket AND Football* teams, not to mention racing drivers, tennis players** and golfers? *I'm using the term "decent" loosely with regards to the football! **I'm classing Andy Murray as English!
  3. Agree completely. Even from being a young kid I always said I'd rather see Oldham win than England and its still true.
  4. Agree. There are certainly aspects of his game he can improve but he looks a different keeper to last season and has made some cracking saves this year. I still get jittery when opponents get a freekick in shooting distance though!
  5. I think it boiled down to Reuben not letting Dale play with his remote control car.
  6. Wasn't moving home fans to the RRE suggested a couple of years ago by the club and shot down by the majority of fans? If the police had something to do with it I don't remember.
  7. I think he's on non-contract terms so guess he could leave immediately if another club were to offer him a contract. Not sure though.
  8. I went for Morais for his 1st half performance. He did fade a bit in the 2nd half. Furmanator excellent once again though picked up a silly booking (maybe intentional to miss next week?)
  9. Eat, drink and be merry... for tomorrow we die. How much "wild spending" is really required? All we need is a goalscorer and we'd be promotion contenders. If promotion/playoffs don't bring the fans back then we really are doomed.
  10. Such as? Who played on Saturday who has been under performing consistently?
  11. Its a bad day at the office, let's not get carried away with negativity.
  12. IF we reach the play off final I think the venue will be the last thing I'll be worrying about.
  13. I mistakenly thought I started it but a quick search shows its been used a lot longer than I've been around here!! Furmanator motm yesterday.
  14. Pleased with the win and think it was deserved. We created enough chances and it would have been another 2 points dropped if those 2 at the end hadn't gone in. Furmanator man of the match for me, he was excellent once again. Thought Morais looked ok but that miss was shocking. It did seem harsh on Plymouth in the end but only because we were so late getting the winner - if Morais had scored earlier I don't think we'd have been quite so sympathetic. I don't think they'll have any complaints about the ref either - he turned away what I thought was a blatant penalty for a foul on Stephens in the second half. Entertaining game, just a shame only 4,080 turned up to see it. Why did Reid take Wright-Phillips off? Might have been a different result if he'd stayed on.
  15. Do we know if these are loan moves or permanent moves? I could understand a player not wanting to move to Blue Sq on a permanent move from league 1 as it'd probably mean a big drop in pay. The flip side of that is they'll be out of work in summer having not played - surely better to get some games under their belt? A drop to league 2 certainly isn't the end of the world. Look what it did for O'Grady. Also depends who the players are - if its Worthington (who I don't think will play for Latics again) then he should take his chance and go. Jacobson/Fleming on the other hand probably feel they can force their way into the team.
  16. Why do our fans want an excuse to have a go at CT? When he's playing badly you get on his back, when he's playing well you accuse him of cheating. I think enough people have covered my views in this thread - he sometimes goes down easily but never without contact. The lad is blue through and through, get behind him and lets hope he can keep up his good form.
  17. Just watched the highlights myself. I've also changed my mind about their free kick: I initally said it shouldn't have been given but its clearly a foul. Also think Brill is at fault for the goal which wasn't what I thought when I saw it on Sat. Plus he got nowhere near their freekick which hit the woodwork. Freekicks clearly a weakpoint for him - you think they'd be able to work on it in training.
  18. Not sure why everyone's raving about Bournemouth's performance. True they made it difficult for us but they were nothing special. Their only real chances came from freekicks, one of which shouldn't have been given (the goal). Apart from that I don't remember them creating anything - did Brill have a save to make? And the constant criticism of Taylor by some people is ridiculous. Everyone knows he's not at his best but he's slowly getting better with each game (also happens have chipped in with a couple of goals). For me Stephens and Feeney were far worse yesterday than Taylor. Agree with the post about Feeney being a worse version of Paul Warne.
  19. I doubt that the pope's a nazi but he's certainly a moron: -He says a man with HIV cannot use a condom to protect his wife. -He also said something like "women lack the intellect and spiritual capacity to become priests". And don't get me started on the £12m he's just cost the British taxpayer. He should sell some of his Vatican gold to reimburse us. Throw the pope down the well!
  20. It started from a very poor header back from M'Voto.
  21. 2nd Utd goal was a cracker, think Olleranshaw should've done better for their first. He seemed to move to the side as the shot was taken.
