  1. always been a bit confused about suspensions. Dont boolkngs suspensions take 10 days to come into effect?
  2. Remember it well. for some reason I was sat in their end. Hmmmmmmm....and yes it was 6 My nomination would be the first time my mum allowed me to go to an away game on my own. Chesterfield in the cup, I'm guessing about late '71, I would be 13 ish. I got the coach from Yelloways on Yorkshire St and we lost , poss 3-0. We set off home just after 5pm but it started to snow. it got heavier and heavier and the coach couldn't get back up the hills( possibly out of Buxton) you must remember this was pre motorway days. I can remember getting off the coach at the bottom of a ruddy great snow covered hill and loads of us pushing cars up it as we remained marooned at the bottom. We all went into a cafe we had found to warm up and wait for the gritters etc. My mum had given me some extra dosh in case of an emergency, which i thought meant buying chicken and chips in the chippy ( she later informed me it meant phoning her up to tell her I was ok if there was a problem) We eventually set off and got back into Oldham about midnight. i then rang my dad to come and pick me up and the scene i arrived home to was not pretty. My mum and various Aunties were in our house all weeping convinced I'd come to a sticky end and I got the mother of all doggings. Don't think I was allowed to go to an away game ony own again until I was about 34. If it helps to confirm the date i'm sure Bournemouth beat someone(non league? ) on the same day by 9 or 10 and ted McDougal scored 6 (ish) Happy days!
  3. OXO are to bring out a new black and white striped cube........................ A laughing stock!
  4. I suppose that it's the beauty of the game that we have different views (as long as you remeber that mine is right) I didn't think it was a good performance at all really. We didn't do that much wrong but we didn't do enough right in my view. They only had one shot on target all game but I wasn't surprised when they scored either. A big issue for me was that with 20 mins to go i said this is the time to bring that sub striker on who is fresh and will give them something else to think about as well as using the gaps they were leaving. Wolfy is not that man I'm afraid and if we getinjuries to hughes or davies we are knackered. We need another striker andmidfielder rapidly. i thought a win today was crucial if we were to have any chance of making the play offs so I suppose the Cup Final will have to do.
  5. I was in there and suggested that someone should get off his back. The response was that last bastian of the numpty head 'I've paid my money mate so I can say what I like'
  6. Don't know what's going on here and whether this is to do with the administrators or not but just when their fans must have thought it couldn't get any worse.......
  7. Bell was the one that impressed me when we played them, able to play on either wing. I don't know their players that well but the fee for Edwards from Wolves seems reasonable as they only got him in the summer I think.
  8. This sounds absolutely desperate. 5 players sold in a day and offers being considered for 3 more. I don't see how they can stay up at this rate. At least it happened to us pre season and if memory serves we didn't have the transfer window so could strengthen as the season progressed. They could be without a team by the end of jan. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...own/7181317.stm
  9. will be upset if he goes there. Haven't they got enough strikers? If they get him we'll have beckford.
  10. Let's march from the civic centre before the Brighton game! Someone very wise several years ago suggested all teams should have 2 kits and one of them should be white, therefore no colour clashes and no super excessive ripping off of fans.Didn't seem to catch on for some reason
  11. Dean Ashton Dwight Yorke Howard Kendal Fred Pickering Latics only team would see David Shaw Andy Gorton Steve Mildenhall sorry missed the current bit. At least Mildenhall fits
  12. The important thing will be what the management think and I always got the impression Shez rated Verndog so I wouldn't be surprised to see him back here as he's not catching with the lashers now.
  13. Got the impression from what was said last week that we should be seeing one sooner rather than later. i wouldn't be surprised to see Cywka as he's in the stiffs at Wiggin and as we were supposedly interested in Goodall in the close season then he might appear as well. Whatever happened to the Norwegian who was on trial here last month?
  14. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes pay on the gate with about a week to go. Doing it this way means that the police have some idea of how many are going to turn up which influences their planning for the game.
  15. I really don't think we will see a crowd of 10000, I would be surprised to see Hudders bring 2000, they haven't done recently. Also both sides have home League games the following tuesday. I think what is more likely to influence the size of the crowd is the results in the 3 games before the tie rather than the price.
  16. you also often get a team you are about to play or have just played (both Crewe and Donny) so i would say it's gonna be Swansea - hope not
  17. We could do with another forward, one injury and we're knackered, no idea if he's good enough or not, especially if we're paying for him. the idea of cashing in on the Luton fire sale is good tho', but I would be more interested in Bell the winger and possibly Spring in midfield or even Goodall the left back. ps the goalie's 'Brill' as well!
  18. would be Stam for me but as everyone else has said every man jack of them was inspirational.
  19. The 4 on my left were all scousers 2 everton and 2 'pool god knows why they were there. Thought there were some arseholes there today who Ihave never seen home or away, if 2 of them had got chucked out it would have been the icing on the cake!!
  20. lots of space at the back of the NSM - maybe the last 4 rows and plenty of other gaps.
  21. and all the very best from me to you all as well. Particularly looking forward to this one as my daughter is mascot on Boxing Day, Come on you blues!!
  22. Looks like the manager has been hitting the sour grapes juice as well. 2 or 3 chances, BBC says 9 shots on target, and it was the ref's fault they lost. http://www.southendunited.premiumtv.co.uk/...1197087,00.html can't get it to link properly or copy, sorry, Oh I have done !!
  23. Hi Diego I rang the club but they dont issue them they come directly fron Clubcard however i have got it sorted Thanks
  24. Thanks diego. From reading it it appears that I don't actually have to apply for it but that as I'm a ST holder it will just appear is this correct? Can anybody tell me why some people have got theirs already and some haven't especially when I'm going buying 2 kids shirts tomorrow from the shop! Bet mine comes on Friday!
