How can you say a young kid with less than a handfull of apps is over-rated? We haven't seen enough of him to over or under rate him. He has come on and run at defenders which has scared the bejesus out of them. Apart from Davies, Hughes, Taylor and Kilkenny the rest of our team don't inspire the same fear and mistakes in opponents thus creating space for other players. But we could let Rochdale or Lincoln benefit from this if he isn't good enough for us.

Pogs is the best keeper we have had since Gary Kelly. FACT, fact, F A C T! Never have I had more faith in a keeper to save a pen than I have wiht Pogs, one on one I back Pogs against a striker. When we score a goal it means as much to Pogs as it does to us, when we let one in it hurts Pogs as much as it does us. When it comes to kicking I fear for the people in the main stand but I forgive him that as he is "our" keeper. With a decent defence infront of him he has been a fantastic player, with a poor defence he has been a poor keeper. Caveat - Grant was on loan, made a lot of camera saves, started well, faded. He had a semi-settled defence in front of him and the team had turn a corner. Over the time Pogs hass been at the club he has saved us more points than he has cost us.

Now the prats at the FA want to move it London - is it any wonder the game in this country is going down the swanny. The FA really have no idea do they, still the academy in the middle of the country so that it is easy for the kids to get home if they need to see their folks or stick it next to the bright lights so it is easy for them to nip in to London and get in to trouble in a similar manner as that Utd ressie just did.

The only way he will be ready is if he plays in the first team more. You don't learn to drive by sitting in the dodgems and you don't learn to skydive on a settee. When any of our youngsters make the step up they will make mistakes, the senior players sure as hell make mistakes. When the kids make a mistake it doesn't do anyone any good for people to shout "x - that was crap" or that they will never make it - the kid knows, Shez knows. After Bertrand's first few games for us people on here were writing him off saying he would never make it, that he was a winger..etc.etc.. If we were given the chance to sign him I bet these same people would bite Chelsea's hand off. As for Smalley, he will come good, this will happen alot quicker if people get off his back and let him make his mistakes and learn from them. I bet we don't see him lose the ball in the middle like he did during one run last night, I am sure he will realise he needs closer control at this level.

I have voted for KK and Allott as I like an attacking and a defensive midfielder in the middle. However what Allott was good at on Saturday was dropping in when Taylor went forward, last night I would have switched Taylor and Allott to allow Allott to drop in and get Bertrand forward. As has already been said Macca has done little wrong recently and is in good form which can only be good.

£20 for a game a month from crapmas with 2 more games this week. Thats why attendance was low today. I bet all FA Cup games were badly attended.

Would rather have Newcastle away, massive payday for us and we would have a chance of beating them.

This is where a good manager earns his corn. This season goes on till May and in that time each and every player will at various times be on top form, carrying a niggle, have an almost telepathic link with another player, be out of form, injured, drop a major clanger and have the midas touch. It is Shez's job to balance all this and get us to as high a finish as possible in May. If the whole squad is fit then it is harder for Shez to pick the team but I would expect Shez to want this to be the case than for the team to pick itself as we only have 11 fit players. Gregs and Lids will play a big part this season as will all the squad, although rotation is a dirty word it helps keeps players fresh and we will hopefully need fresher players in May rather than exhausted husks.
