  1. Which could be a long time off, right now. I'd get a sports psychologist as soon as possible and find out why they cannot perform at BP.
  2. Hopefully, the phenomenon of teams losing at home ends tomorrow.
  3. You could have some of ours! Seriously, it's a mess and hopefully sorted for the good of the club as soon as possible. We do not need another club going to the wall.
  4. Can't knock the result, very happy that the team, however bad, can get a result. Consistency is an urgent requirement, something Mellon can hopefully achieve once he gets his way with the squad. This league is weird in the way a large majority of home results end in defeat. Of today's twelve games, seven were home defeats [or away wins], three home wins and two draws. Results at BP need to be turned around somehow, without losing the knack of winning away.
  5. A pity Frank's not here, he would be out gritting the paths. Three games off already.
  6. Seems to me the players bottle it in front of a relatively [for this league] big crowd, whereas the opposition thrive on it, relative to much smaller home crowds.
  7. It's all relative to the league we are in, Ebbsfleet are in the same league as Latics, therefore, the playing field is level, is it not? It looks like only Chesterfield have the monopoly on consistent winning ways at the moment, bar the loss at Southend, who would be up there themselves if not for the points penalty and sanctions. This league is rife with inconsistencies. Mellon has the task of getting it right, so let's leave him to it.
  8. I can't dig up the stats but I'm pretty sure it isn't. The manager does have to figure it out and he will need the time and resources to make the team ready to challenge. They are some way off just yet but he will get there.
  9. Very disappointing that the goal difference has suffered because of it and the attendances may drop if home games start going down this route. It's baffling.
  10. That's football for you. Was it the sub's first touch as well?
  11. Maybe he was resting. Maybe the cameraman doesn't like him. Maybe it's just a coincidence. Maybe we shouldn't speculate.
  12. It will be a totally different game than midweek, probably with Ebbsfleet sitting deep and hoping for a breakaway. Patience will be needed but I am confident of the right result although not as emphatic as against Barnet. I want to see Fondop's sprinting technique again!
  13. I would say there is no way Mellon is going to change the starting strike partnership, given his enthusing comments. I would like to see the change made once a victory is in the bag and hopefully that is by the half time whistle. Poleon is on nine goals, he's going to be a threat. Hopefully, we are soon going to see more Latics players in that table of top scorers.
  14. I think Monty is alluding to my post being a stinker.
  15. I know and I can now see a top seven finish as a possibility. I'm still pinching myself at the score line last night. As good as Norwood was with his clinical finishing and his assists, I personally think Hope's goal was the most enjoyable.
  16. Wind-up. Barnet who are apparently better than 22 other teams in this league. Be interesting to know what your other usernames are.
  17. Brilliant result and immense display when compared to what we witnessed under Unsworth. I know people are saying it's only Barnet but the club is in the National League and has just beat second placed at their gaff by four goals to one. Something absolutely unattainable with the previous manager. It's palpable progress from where we were not so long ago. Fingers crossed for Norwood's possible injury being nothing to worry about. The last two results will probably add to the gate on Saturday. Well done the lads.
  18. Nice one, sounds as though the style is changing for the better, pleased for Norwood adding to his tally. Much better than the depressing days of Unsworth. I wish he had gone much sooner.
  19. Caretaker manager 'bounce' anyone? Not much between the two teams, I am expecting a tough game and another draw. *awaits Lee Sinnott's wildly optimistic prediction*
  20. Could be but once something is out there, then it's out there and open to interpretation. Slightly OT but I wonder how much this message board is viewed by club and players.
