  1. If the FA won't allow it, it doesn't matter how much he wants it and he may want the involvement with Salford FC more than the managerial position at OAFC. We could find out today if the FA will allow it but I personally think they will not. I hope I am off the mark, if only to get the managerial situation sorted, once and for all. I'm not really too bothered if Scholes does not take the reigns.
  2. I went on Twitter to see the Boro reaction...it was just like looking at the #oafc feed on any Latics match day.
  3. I can't imagine the threat of a down vote would stop some of them.
  4. Haha...will you now be in a down vote limbo...or will you slowly crawl back to parity, even into the plus zone???
  5. Makes sense to me. I was never a fan of down voting. If you don't agree with, or dislike a comment, make a reasoned argument or response.
  6. Power Point presentations, A nice suit and a dazzling smile.
  7. Scholes might do a better job of managing Brexit although I don't think the FA would let him manage Latics at the same time.
  8. Newport 2-0 up. Great for them, although no cash for Latics...would the playing side of things have benefited anyway?
  9. BP, you are just adding fuel to the fire of speculation.
  10. Well, AL is what we have got, so unless some billionaire comes along, there isn't much we can do. I don't think Latics will get relegated and if AL and his brother are influencing team selections, then Scholes will not be making an appearance, in my opinion.
  11. Apart from the squad additions needed, it's obvious that a new manager with some kind of ability and fresh impetus is urgently required. All credit to Wildy, I will never forget Fulham, but he has now hit a brick wall, in terms of what he can bring to the first team. I'm not even sure that Paul Scholes will be able to achieve that. Sounds like Latics more than matched MK Dons and to be undone by two more penalties is frustrating, to say the least. Hamer should be proud though. That was a cracking goal.
  12. Baxter will have to eat his words, no doubt. Hamer's goal... Screamer
  13. Another reason why Wild is not the man for the manager's job. The Frankie Bunn school of substitutions.
  14. Looks like the collision with Edmundson may have resulted in his arm going up.
  15. Clarke's hand is not even in the air when Edmundson heads the ball. He must have lifted it as Edmundson collided with him. It's easy for us to dissect the events with the aid of replay and pictures. Maybe not so easy in the heat of the moment. **EDIT** It is going up in the air.
  16. I think it's obvious from the pic that the ball has gone straight up from Edmundson's head. If Clarke had handled it, it would be going to the left.
  17. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/47017451 Watch at 32 seconds.
  18. I'm now wondering if the ref has had a case of mistaken identity.
  19. Must have been a mistake because I have just scoured the live text and Clarke did not get a yellow. Seems like a straight red.
  20. I wonder if he is having a swipe at the so-called Lemsagam signings? Best be careful!
  21. Jose Baxter: “I thought the occasion was too big for some of us... if you put an Oldham shirt on and you can’t get yourself geared up I think you’re struggling there straight away” Interesting comment from the man.
