  1. Updated first post with current whereabouts of those who left the squad. Still no official word on Benteke, McLaughlin or Moimbé, although it seems pretty obvious the last two aren't coming back. No word either on who stepped up from the youths last season, but based on PSF line-ups I'm guessing Sheridan and Uche. Presumably that also means that Whalley, Arthur, Antoine, Boyling, Dry and Lent have left the club. Anyone know?
  2. So after that window is up would it be Coke Zero, or Diet Coke?
  3. Ta. I wasn't sure if they were just wearing any old number in PSFs. Hoping for clues as to how many more we can expect in.
  4. Added Coke now he's signed. He's been given the number 7 shirt - anyone know the other players' numbers?
  5. Well they can have Mantack for free since he's been released. Edmundson I'd be less happy to lose.
  6. Omrani appears to have signed for Royal Excelsior Virton (Belgian Division 1 Amateur, which I think is their third division).
  7. First post in the thread updated with Amadi-Holloway going, changed Baxter to a striker, added Missilou.
  8. Thanks BP. I'm not sold on the idea of Nepo as a full back, and I think Dummigan and Hunt should have enough for League Two. Baxter as a striker, though, could work. He's played there before and has the skills to really make an impact at this level. With Holloway as a target man and Benteke as backup, we'd only really need one more first team striker.
  9. Was Nepo playing full back? Wondering if Bunn sees him as a defender rather than a midfielder. And it sounds like Baxter replaced Holloway - maybe he's being seen as an out and out striker this season.
  10. Hehe. What did we all do for lives before the internet and social media gave us this insane opportunity to debate absolutely everything?
  11. But De la Paz was 1, so he's changed. I mean, I'm not reading too much into it as I'd expect players like Clarke, Hamer and Byrne to get "traditional" numbers, so I'm sure they're not finalised, but for him to change suggests a space has opened up.
  12. Interesting that Placide is wearing 19 and De la Paz wearing 13. Room for a number 1... Also according to the MEN Holloway is wearing 11 and Branger-Engone is 10. Supports the thinking that McLaughlin is o'ff.
  13. And presumably this means Uche and Sheridan Junior were given pro deals.
  14. Anyone know the shirt numbers for the subs? Trying to guess at squad places.
  15. If we're going with American drink themed trialists, probably Samuel Adams and, uh, Doctor Pepper.
  16. Obadeyi is on trial at Crawley Town. Kyeremeh appears to have signed for FC Eindhoven.
  17. No worries. And that's a fair concern. Although his "new broom" credit won't last if the players brought in don't immediately start firing.
  18. Oops. You'd think I'd have spotted the ".be" in the website. D'oh!
  19. Dutch press reporting that Benteke has signed an extension. https://www.nieuwsblad.be/cnt/dmf20180704_03598515
  20. Not sure why you feel the need to resort to insults. I challenged the conclusions you were drawing - or asking others to draw - nothing more. Yes, I drew a silly parallel - and acknowledged that it was. Am I happy with the signing? Ambivalent at best. But I'm not going to start worrying about cliques and Lemsagam calling the shots based on the first signing. If the next few are of the same calibre, sure, let's get concerned. Given how little some of last season's overseas contingent played he doesn't seem to be bullying managers into team selections, nor does he seem reluctant to let them go. Even if he is using the club as a shop window for overseas players (it's a possibility, sure) it's in his own interest to have the best players and the highest league position, to get the most attention and highest prices. Give it a week or two and then I'll worry if I have to.
