  1. Your going to struggle to come up with things to talk about now brownie has left. I know he wasn't good enough, barring 1 spell of a few games where he was solid if nothing else. Not an opinion though is it, think everyone knew he wasn't good enough but wanted him to do well. You just seemed to have a vendetta against him as though he'd banged your missus. Don't understand undermining our own players, who's to say they don't read this message board? All though it would be daft too with the amount of drivel some fans come out with.
  2. Couple of our fans really have been arses to Connor on twitter and on here. Not his fault we signed him and he was never really good enough. Why not just say thanks for the effort and good luck in his future endeavours, instead of being a grade A weapon about it. Really is a sad life when you constantly feel the need to belittle a player and are now celebrating them leaving. Pathetic.
  3. We get a few of the so called 'firm' turning up for big away matches just to cause agro. Majority of games are fine and nothing of note happens between fans. You always expect a little of something against dale (unfortunately). Think it cause keith hill gets under our skin a bit, more than anything. What i saw at the scum derby was a few 1000 city fans and at least few 100 united fans acting like :censored:. You'd never see that kind of % of our support doing that. Not saying latics are the best behaved, just meaning in general, lower league football seems to be better behaved and focused more on supporting their teams. That's just from my experience, just my opinion. Obviously start of the thread is a downer and hopefully they get caught out, if not for saturday, they'll no doubt say something stupid down the line, and get what's coming to them. No need for it.
  4. City/united proved today why i hate both them clubs so much. Too many bandwagoners who are grade A :censored:. City fans doing air plane signs 20mins after the end. Coin throwing and just constant abuse between each other, instead of watching the match. 99% of latics fans are spot on, small minority of pricks at every club ruin it. This allows football fans to still be labelled as 'hooligans' and treated as such.
  5. Can't understand why this is still not cleared up. Wouldn't it be simple to just count it as a dead ball and goal kick, if it goes in. Player was aiming it towards goal on purpose and trying his luck.
  6. Out of contract end of the season. Hopefully they go up and we can try tempt him here.
  7. Proper biased commentary from what I heard. They were laughing at latics defence early on, clearly didn't do that badly cause they kept a clean sheet. Steve eyre just pissed he can't get a job, so slates us to get him through the day.
  8. Well since our previous managers were utter :censored:e. Yes, i did feel a bit dissapointed, not hurt cause we've gone so far backwards since he left. Luckily we have shez now, so i've lost a lot of interest in fussing about them. Actually wanted barnsley to win last night and after watching them get to wembley, makes me feel a bit sorry for them. Especially since they stood by him after that barron run, 99% of clubs would have got rid of him.
  9. Did we have a sell on fee on lee johnson? Do any of the 'experts' know? ? haha, glad barnsley are getting a taste of their own medicine. TW will follow him like a sheep again. He'll need all the look he can get, as soon as he does a terrible job somewhere, he'll be sacked and no one will want him. Lucky he wasn't out of a job earlier this season IMO.
  10. By some, YES. Others have had it in for him straight away for whatever reason. I've lost patience with him a couple of times this year, think everyone has. They always own upto mistakes and realise where they've gone wrong, i trust him to eventually get it right.
  11. I don't think any club would release that sort of information. If they did, they certainly wouldn't mention the fee. Which would then lead to rumours of us selling it for a pittance. There would be no benefit to anyone in doing that. They've released a vague statement, but that's as good as you'd get at any club nowadays.
  12. Money wouldn't have gone on playing budget anyways since we have debt and a stand to finish. If corney needed the money that badly then, it was obviously needed. People on here making out he went to them after tarky looked likely to get a transfer. Bull:censored:. Chron reported sell on was 10%, hardly as if we've missed out on millions, albeit every little helps. As i said, corney obviously felt it was necessary. He's made another mistake, at least we have an owner. There's not been any rumours of a potential buyer since koucash and he was a fraudster. No point slating him on here, got nothing better to do? If you feel that strongly about it, go outside the ground on saturday and hold a protest or something. To get us in the public eye, in the hope of new ownership. Otherwise just sit back down, cheer the team on and cut corney a bit of slack for once. Rant over
  13. By sounds of it, we should have scored more at shrewsbury. Poleon/cassidy are really struggling for any sort of form. We should have at least got a point against bury as well. At home to bury we lacked someone who'd get into the box and put it away. We've been putting decent crosses in, we need someone to finish them.
  14. Battler. He's done it at this level and worked his way up. He wouldn't carry on playing if he didn't think he could offer anything. Not sure on ameobi, just doesn't strike me as the type who will be up for a relegation battle and lead us out of it. Bolton fans don't seem to mind him, but i think thats largely due to the fact he said he'd play for nothing.
  15. Newcastle fans liked him the odd time he came up with a crucial goal or one against sunderland. Then hated him again 3 games later when they realised he's still crap. Only my opinion but, i don't think he's what we need. Grant holt with murphy playing off him would be ideal though.
  16. That's a shame. Hope we don't sign him, only good enough for bolton cause they can't get anyone else. He was woeful when in the prem, newcastle fans couldn't stand him. Would rather stick with what we've got.
  17. Stoke fans still love fuller. Doesn't mean they want him back, they're both obviously nowhere near the players they were. I'd say holt would be a better option than cassidy for the rest of this season. He was supposedly on 20-25k a week at wigan, so you'd imagine he'd want 2-3k a week at the very least, so probably out of our price range.
  18. This is a joke right? If he goes on to do better then so be it. I'd put him in the same bracket as rooney, given enough chances and didn't show enough. Anyone who claims he is the next big thing when we hardly seen much quality from him, is just looking to hit the club with a stick at every opportunity IMO.
  19. Would have been 2 nil if he hadn't rushed their lad into hitting the bar. Don't think he's good enough yet but, he's the better of the 2. renshaw maybe should be given a chance, not seen him play though yet. Sounds like he's doing very well for the youths though.
  20. What is it with fans wanting players to go over to them to congratulate them for turning up? Can understand them doing it in germany where the atmosphere is half decent. Bet a lot of our fans just called them :censored: all game as well, no wonder he didn't go over to you to bow down at your presence.
  21. Can hardly expect a big fine. He was on a rolling contract each month wasn't he? Bit of a nothing story. Like someone has already said, they're doing it to show that they're annoyed at how he left more than anything.
  22. Newport fans have been completely left in the dark in the last couple of days, barring a couple of statements not saying much. Most didn't realise feeney would take over, until reading articles online from beeb or sky. Think it's just a general thing amongst football league clubs to have poor communication with it's fans. Good to see corney admit to his and boards mistakes again, hopefully it's the last time. KTF
  23. Least he didn't throw it in his own net. Some of our 'fans' are pathetic. Anyone with half a brain can see coleman is the better of the 2. We still need a better replacement, but at least Dunn has finally realised that he was wrong to stick with cornell any longer. If he'd played coleman in our previous games, we'd have at least 2 points extra, since coleman wouldn't have made that mistake against colchester.
  24. Hardly that bad, standard loan player trying to keep both clubs happy and not say too much. Cisak's was much worse, going on about how big a club portsmouth where and how he was desperate to stay when his loan ends.
