  1. At least we'll have a proven League 2 striker next season.
  2. In rare defence of the club, I think there are more factors to consider than juat a prehistoric debt.
  3. Dickov was in charge for as long as Sheridan? Well, I never knew that.
  4. The number of times per season I have had a Latics related erection since 1988.
  5. Blackpool in £3 more than Oldham ticket shock horror.
  6. Great player in his brief spell for us but not the solution to our current defensive woes. He's at the end of an injury-prone career and is currently Danny Hall's central defensive partner for a team who are 18th in the conference.
  7. I think you've hit the nail on the head. We look like an away team at home.
  8. He did? He was questioned by BBC Radio Manchester about whether he'd picked the wrong team and his response was - 'possibly'. Hardly a resounding admission of responsibility. He spent the majority of the interview talking about how poor the players were.
  9. But how many did we win? You can't survive by drawing every game. I've not heard him once take responsibility for a result. Instead, he blames other factors - the budget, the players, and even us, the fans. I think he'll be given until the new year, regardless of where we are in the league or how low our attendances get. I, for one, won't be attending another home game until results pick up or there's a managerial change.
  10. It doesn't matter what Murphy wants. He's an Oldham player.
  11. Don't rate either of them, in all honesty. Neither fill me with great confidence between the sticks.
  12. Massive two fingers from tango man. Has done wonders since we nearly appointed him.
  13. Because most presumed it was for home AND away fans?
  14. Can you blame them? Poor from the club. 400 mile round trip on a cold Tuesday night in November.
  15. Is it right to put the blame on one man? Probably not. But how he's managed to keep his job is beyond me.
  16. So, what are you suggesting? Leave him on loan until we start winning a few games? How long do we wait? And is League One really that much of a step up from League Two?
  17. There's generally 5 reasons why a club would send a player out on loan: 1. Player development 2. With a view to a permanent move 3. Wage bill 4. Out of favour 5. Out of form Player development is usually a youth loan and I don't think Murphy's wage is a problem. He was definitley out of favour, and some would argue out of form, but - usually - form and selection go hand in hand. Murphy is scoring goals. Therefore, unless a 'with a view to a permanent move' deal was agreed before the loan, the club should be recalling the player. Murphy was out of form and out of favour. The loan move has been a success. Give the guy a second chance.
