Mellon’s done OK I suppose but has only moved us up 4 places, we were 12th when Thompson & Redfearn departed!

If you factor in the huge increase in energy & utility bills that still represents a saving of almost £7 a game against POTD and would still be cheaper than a fair few teams in this league.

Mellon’s rallying call in the OT seems born out of hope rather than design! We are 38 games in so it’s highly unlikely we’re suddenly turning in to Barcelona!! Do we think he will be playing his favoured 532? I bloody well hope not but it wouldn’t surprise me! I just hope we can dispense with the continuous hoof ball, put a shift in, and just play a bit of football for a change. To nick a playoff place we probably need 4 wins from 8 and make sure we don’t lose to Halifax & Altrincham. Lose today and it might have to be 4 from 7.

Result wise I'll be surprised if we score if it's Norwood and Dallas upfront and we'll probably concede two orthree. Why so?

If this season had gone to plan tomorrow’s game could have been the title decider in front of 11k+…..looking at the ticket sales we’ll be lucky to get 7k+ After so much early promise….it could be a frustrating end to a disappointing season!!

Yeah…he certainly ain’t too inspiring is he? I should imagine it’s difficult when the team is struggling but he seems to be struggling too. He’s basically coming out with the same spiel both before and after every game. I hope he’s a different animal in the dressing room for sure!

I wouldn’t call it a dip, more like a collapse Whilst points on the board are the crucial factor I think the style of play will have a huge bearing on next season’s ST take up and I think it’s possible there could be a drop in excess of 10% We either get competent players in who are comfortable playing 532 or hopefully, abandon it altogether and play a more attacking formation.

This a massive game and we will need to see a huge reaction from the players. If it is a complete hammering what do we think the ramifications if any, will be? I can’t see the board being too happy especially with our performances of late. If we do lose we will probably have to rack up around 14 points from the last 7 games to make the playoffs. They obviously won’t be giving him the dreaded vote of confidence but we’ve made very little, if any progress on the pitch so far and that must give them some cause for concern. We will need to hit the ground running next season and If Mellon isn’t in the top 7 early doors he will be under massive pressure and rightly so!

If we lose we’ll almost certainly have to win at both Halifax & Altrincham to make the playoffs. We are not suddenly going to play free flowing football. It will probably be one way traffic as I have seen nothing to suggest otherwise. I just hope he bins the negative 532 and picks a side that’ll give it a real go We have one of the worst home records and they have the best away record……3 v 1 Latics!!

I stopped going regularly during most of the later Corney years and decided to buy a ST when Frank took over. How many more times do I have to say it….I will not go to watch hoof ball, I don’t expect us to play like Barcelona but I expect to see a decent game of football where we actually play to a decent level, 18 months and I’m still waiting!! I’ll be 70 next and the days of win at all costs and travelling here there and everywhere are long gone, I’ve done all that and have other things to do in my life!! I’ll continue to buy my ST but won’t attend every game until the product is a bit better!

I think that’s rubbish…like me he just wants to see a decent game of footy instead of the current mind numbingly boring shite that’s being churned out. I suspect like most people, he probably couldn’t care less how we get back into the league even it’s via hoof ball but the truth is we’re not too good at that either! Getting back into the EFL is absolutely essential for this football club, however when we do finally get back, if we continue in this way I’m out!

How so?….they played like Barcelona they were anything but struggling…. If you didn’t know they were rock bottom of the league you would have thought they were challenging at the top!

By the looks of things he might have told them all!

He keeps saying he’s not telling them to play that way so it’s a little puzzling to say the least. They’ve hoofed it in just about every game I’ve seen, both home & away!

Getting a fee is out of the question then?

Why shouldn’t I care?….I Just don’t think a club in the 5th tier should spend money on a DOF.
