Could it be because we barely provide the service in open play. He would score an absolute hatful in a decent side….we are far from a decent side!!

Unfortunately you’ll always have that element within a football club. I have some sympathy for fans travelling the length & breadth of the country being let down time & time again by an absolute spineless set of players! We’ve all been there before, far too often over the last couple of seasons and know how frustrating it can be. Surely it would be better to leave a minute or two early or just not acknowledge the players at all when they come over which would send an equally strong message to the players without the unnecessary abuse!!

We have no divine right to win every game and I don’t expect to either. However, I’m just at a loss as to how Oldham Athletic Football Club, with such enviable financial backing, with such unbelievable fan support, and with what ‘apparently’ are described by numerous opposition managers as being some of the best players in the league continue to churn out shite like that week after bloody week! Mellon said a while ago that he wouldn’t be wasting Frank’s money. He also said, in January, that he wasn’t looking to bring in anymore players as he was more than happy with what he’d got…. Out of all the players he’s recruited /wasted money on I would say only Garner has added any value at all! The fact is that after 6 months under Mellon we still put out a team who consistently cannot even manage the basics. ie. control a football & pass it to a fucking team mate and seemingly having no idea as to how to play this game at all! Make no mistake, this team is an absolute embarrassment and I’d be asking some serious questions as to WTF is going on and definitely before giving this bloke any more money for player recruitment next season! You cannot continue to defend the indefensible because on the field we appear to be absolutely clueless in just about every aspect!

How can we not create chances in open play….we have Norwood, Dallas, Conlon, Garner, Walker & Hobson. All highly rated players for the division above never mind the National League. On paper, these players would walk into almost any National League squad with ease but can’t even manage to complete even the basic of tasks for Oldham Athletic. WTF are they doing in training, we aren’t improving one iota….they are a total embarrassment. The Chesterfield game last week was probably the only proper 90 minute performance we have managed since the Rothwell’s came in almost 2 years ago. Is it all down to the players? The manager and coach have to take a share of the blame surely! Green shoots and all that….I’ve see nothing!

It won’t be fine, It will be as hard as ever….You’ll have maybe Barnet or Bromley, Southend, Hartlepool, Halifax, Rochdale, Sutton & Forest Green. Not to mention Gateshead, Solihull & Altrincham

We definitely should have scored there but the bigger picture is that this team is nowhere near good enough to win the playoffs. I’m not even confident of beating Fylde at home next week. The notion that if we don’t go up we can be champions next season is also total bollocks. We have an absolute mountain to climb!!

We appear to be absolutely clueless again….I just don’t understand why we can’t be comfortable with the ball and be able to pass it to a blue shirt, and look like we actually know what we’re doing. That was as bad as ever!
