I know that we have no chance of signing Campbell etc but as a club we should be looking throughout the leagues who has a bit of pace to him and who can chip in with some goals. The only reason I would sign Stead is as a last resort if Matt Smith does indeed decide to go

Not necessarily you it's just what I see on hear and also hear in the stands. Some of our fans are on players backs all the times and that mixed with other factors is one of the reasons we are where we are in terms of a club. For example with Matt Smith, he would come on with 10 minutes left and didn't have much time to make an impact, id hear fans in the stands booing and slagging him off and on here as well, but now he's scored a few in the FA Cup everybody loves him. It's annoying! For me, I don't know much about who is available but I would be after someone to partner Matt Smith and feed off his knockdowns, someone with real pace such as Fraizer Campbell, Dwight Gayle etc. I know we have no chance of signing them but somebody in that ilk

Christ it's the same every year, linked with someone who is in a higher league and everyone automatically thinks they will rip it up, then, 6 months later they're slagging them off! Pathetic! Such as: - Kuqi - Derbyshire - Barnard - Feeney - Reid ETC Stead is :censored:ing woeful! There is no chance he will 'rip it up' because even at this standard he is :censored:. Sounds like a decent player and also sounds promising that one of them knows him personally. The only question I would have though is it says at one point he was linked with Championship clubs. So why would he sign with Oldham rather than someone from the Championship or even higher end of League One signing him on a free contract? The only reason I could think of is that he thinks he will play most games here and also we're situated right next to Bury so family don't have to move or anything. Lets hope it happens!

Completely agree with the keeper situation, I think Cisak (if he signs) will be wanting to push to be number one choice but I think that LJ already has someone lined up to be number one or else Cisak would have been re-instated when LJ first took over. Deano possibly might be on quite a bit also. And with Dan Taylor I think that he could go elsewhere, get his chance and take it. It's a gamble we've taken and I don't think it will pull off. I reckon he will do a good job wherever he goes

I was surprised as well but it just sounds even more than a rumour. But he may even sign it in the end or get a better contact offer so may sign, probably will. Just letting people know

I'm not saying that he will definitely leave, but he's friend of a friend etc and lives in my area and so does his girlfriend and I've heard rumours that he isn't happy with the current contract offered. May sign it in the end or get a better one with Latics but we'll see

Millar may possibly be going back to Ireland in search of a better deal Ive heard. So that's one to think about... The only young player that we've offered a contract to that I will be devastated if he left would be Mellor, could mould him into a tidy player under LJ

You would say that all off the ones that have been offered will accept. However, I have heard rumours that Millar isn't happy with the contract he has been offered and is going back to Ireland, I don't know we will have to see, we have probably made him a better offer. Then you would have to say that all the ones that we are in discussion with may possibly leave. None of them are a sure thing so lets hope! Don't think Cisak will stay either, not sure. Don't want him as number 1 either really, need another keeper brining in and have some competition between the two

More than turned up in the big games and had a decent work rate but wise decision that he was realised in my eyes, can bring someone better in for his wage

I'm happy that we have kept the younger players but don't really see any of them being in the starting XI at the start of the season. Devastated with the loss of Bouzanis, really liked him as a keeper and liked him for the passion he had in the club. Think Cisak isn't as good as Bouzanis and is also a :censored:, :censored:e attitude and wanting to leave during the season. Hope he goes if Deano is going. Would of liked to have kept Dan Taylor to be honest but can understand why he wasnt kept. Keeping Brown is a bad decision as well, really awful even though some fans actually like him which I can't understand why.

For me, I would have more of a look at him. He didn't do TOO badly and put a couple of decent balls in and he was up against Micah Richards for most of the first half. And as a team we lacked anything going forward to really bring him into the game. Would like to see how he does against a weaker defence. Joey Jones at CB looked decent as well

I've heard rumours the other day that the new City owners already paid off the buy - out clause a couple of years into there tenure and that that money has gone towards the new stand. I heard that it wasnt a huge figure at all either

That's the first thing I thought was about his pace. But I understand that if he's gone out on loan then maybe he isn't THAT good to be starting for us, however, it could offer some competition if he was to be signed as LJ said that he was aiming for two for every position and that depth in the wing position is something that we are lacking
