Is Ploj the new Diego?
-
I don't qualify as I live in OASIS territory, but can I suggest you call yourselves the North Of the Border Oldham Fans Faction: NOBOFF.
It'd look great on a flag.
-
£154.42
Surprisingly expensive, actually. Surely a smaller percentage of an average salary than it would be today though.
-
I can't seem to find online, can anyone elighten me as to the 2015 price of that season ticket at £5 10s 0d?
-
Good trivia question I was asked. Who was the first team to install executive boxes? Apparently the answer is us
I believe so, one of Uncle Ken's ideas.

An HD camcorder can be bought for under £250. I've wondered for a while why on earth the quality of the interviews is so poor. It's never bothered me though, until they start hawking the service as HD.
-
I hope the most recent video isn't what they're trying to pass off as HD.

Perhaps we could introduce a female mate for Chaddy, Roxy the owl.
We could keep current Chaddy, but also resurrect Chaddy MKI to prance around in front of the away fans, giving them the same deep psychological scars that I still nurse to this day.

Demar Phillips who was outstanding against Grimsby
Currently playing for Real Salt Lake. Turns out getting released/spurned by Latics isn't the end of the world after all.
-
Don't mind Zorrro, he always touches people like that. And 24hrs will conduct the induction in Leeslover's stead. And Andy drinks blue larger, no explaining that one.
Welcome to OASIS - the most haphazard bunch of lovable bastards you'll ever meet.
Oh gee, I feel so welcome. Welcome and scared.

Southend on a Tuesday night is gutting. Some decent scheduling elsewhere (don't even mind Blackpool being on Boxing Day).
I'm gutted about Southend too. I move to London for work next month and was thinking I'd be able to make a lot more southern games without bankrupting myself travelling south. No chance of getting to Southend for KO on a Tuesday night though!
On the bright side I'll be able to roll out of bed and into a local before Millwall in April...

As England inevitably whimper out of the Euros next summer having turgidded (isn't the constantly evloving English language a fine thing) us all to death for a couple of weeks there will no doubt be clains that they are all exhausted. Yet they are expected to throw themselves into pointless friendlies in June with passion. Not going to happen.
Well that particular June friendly was probably a good idea, as we have a qualifier on Sunday that the players would otherwise have been going into having played no games in about a month.

In an ideal world we'll get Max Power. Maybe sign David Mirfin from Scunthorpe, and Matty Pattison from Gateshead. Even take a chance on reforming Nile Ranger.
Just to have the dream line up of Matty Mirfin Power Ranger.
You really worked for that. I take my hat off to you.

I,ve got the match report from the Chronicle and it says
Hirst 2 mins
Wilson 50 mins
Marshall 60 mins
Bernard 80 mins
Redfearn 90+2 mins
It's part of a Championship Special that came wth the a Chronic on 13 May 1991 -what a lovely read it is
That's perfect! Nice one.
For those interested, I'm ordering a mug from these guys detailing the Wednesday match.
They've got no Latics products on at the minute, but they do requests.

So we all know the story, but I'm putting together a Father's Day gift for my Dad and just need to know the times of the goals - for both sides. Can anyone enlighten me?
-
You didn't see the Wolf score in the playoff game?
Missed out.
Nope, couldn't make it. Can't remember why though, and I did watch it on TV
-
Maybe not if its a Tuesday night in January.
The only times I've been to Blackpool watching Latics, we're definitely due an August Bank Holiday at Bloomfield Road.

I dont think there are any that wouldnt be worn by scallies but Nike definitely do more tasteful shirts in general that you wouldnt feel like a wrong un to wear.
the English, Dutch and USA home shirts are very tasteful for example http://store.nike.com/gb/en_gb/pd/2014-netherlands-match-home-football-shirt/pid-873596/pgid-10088116
I see your point but it's hardly a dinner jacket, just a better class of scally wear. A football shirt is always going to be scally wear if worn anywhere other than a football pitch/ground.
-
Scally wear again. Grim sauce. Bring back tangerine, and get a better maufacturer
Show me a modern football shirt that isn't scally wear.
-
On a side note, why do modern kits have shorts that could shelter a large family? Earl the Pearl wouldn't have looked half as elegant with those things billowing round his ankles.
-
Not bad, obviously modelled on the Premier League era kits.
-
I just don't get this - Steve Claridge is an articulate and knowledgeable football commentator.
I've discarded more articulate banana skins.
-
With or without the "the" it's still a rubbish nickname.
Maybe we should have a poll. My vote goes to Super Warrior Owls.

+ another 1 for We Are Latics or otherwise We are THE Latics !! Which might look particualrly good at the JJB!
Careful now! There's a distinction to be made here.
We are "Latics", not "The Latics". As I understand that's what Wigan - the usurpers - say in order to legitimise their claim to the name. As the rightful Latics we don't need the definite article.
