IMO i think baxter plays best when he sits behind one striker like when he was playing behind Derbyshire. As we had Barnard and Iwelumo on the pitch baxter will probably have sat deeper, (as i didn't go today im having to presume). I think baxter would be more effective if barnard was a lone striker up top, maybe Iwelumo on bench as an impact player. Referring to the original post tho i dont think baxter is undroppable, but i think baxter is one of the few players in the squad that is capable of making something out of nothing.

At the moment he doesn't play for anyone but i think we will sign him up till the end of the season

True, but RB is the one of the positions where we have adequate cover with Brown or even Byrne if needs be.

Could be baxter staying . But when have you ever heard a player signing a contract announced just before the game, at the ground, over a PA system? Maybe its about the new stand or season tickets that we already know about?

OS states he signed in time to play today, but he posted on twitter that his 'legs are in pieces' so hope he isn't used today.

Can't see this deal attracting many new fans to the club next season. But as someone who will be renewing their season ticket next year regardless of what happens and will probably buy a shirt aswell i welcome this deal.
