  1. Amir Khan and Dean Holdsworth taking over apparently.
  2. That is a shocking reason for not attending games. The chaddy although am sure holds good memories is a :censored: stand. You and others will always hold them memories from the chaddy from the prem days and before but to stop going because you can not sit in the chaddy is child like behaviour. Before anyone asks no I have not gone due to working till half 7 and I either went tonight or worked next week or went next week and missed tonight.
  3. Good win. Needs backing up now in next two games.
  4. I think what people are saying is that if people could just turn up and pay a fiver it would have a bigger uptake than having to phone and pre buy tickets. Its an obsticle for people to use as a reason to not go. Fair play to the club though for the offer I just think that not having it a fiver on the day will result in the club not getting the maximum uptake. Having said that am going to try and get as many people as possible who I know are not Latics fans going to the game next Tuesday and currently have 2 extra people coming along. Bless them, have no idea what they are letting themselves in for
  5. Whilst I do tend to agree, I work in retail and you would not believe the amount of people kicking of because they had to part with an extra 5p for a bag, I have seen people use money off coupons for as little as 1p. I understand what the club are trying to do, but not having it cheap for those who just want to turn up could and I will suggest will knock a good few 100 off the total crowd. I guess time will tell.
  6. The statement says its part of a push to get fans to buy tickets online. I think it may of been better if you got £5 for booking online or by phone and £7 on the night rather than full price on the night.
  7. You must be mad to want to have a torex epsisode again. Lets risk the whole futre of the club because your board. Lets see how envious you are of Bury when it goes tits up becausw it will.
  8. Was debating going untill ten mins ago. Walking through Ashton town centre guy giving out free vouchers for 2 people to get in for free for curzon ashton v north ferriby.
  9. Wgat would you suggest? Bearing in mind people are having a go at the way the club is run and the dross on the pitch. What can the club do to maybe change peoples perceptions of the way its run? A few wins dosnt change the way its run so how do the club get fans onside? Just for the record I am willin to back the club and accept it may take time to fix what has been a bad year. Harry no direspect but I see you post alot on here alot of the time its quick digs at fellow fans without any suggestion of how to change things. What do suggest the club do to get fans back on side?
  10. Yes your right 4 of us went. Do you not agree that it would be a good move by the club to get as many fans as possible at an event in the new stand with ALL directors there outlining who they are and what they do and how they plan to move the club forward?
  11. What the club need to realise is that all concerns "moans" raised on here is not just that of a few typical moaners. Its clear to see on this and a few other threads and other forms of social media there is a a lot of unhappy fans. The majority of fans can agree that: The way the club gave up on last season after LJ left made a lot of fans feel like our ultimate aim is league one survival. The stand having multipule delays after fans expecting to be sat in there seat for the start of the season has pissed alot of people off. Delay after delay. The Darren Kelly appointment and then quick dismisal, this after all us fans being told it was the best calibre of applicants under the current owners. The dross servered up on the pitch, no intent, no passion, 2 wins in 16. The whole of 2015 has been shocking, and without the opening of the new stand although late in my eyes would of been the worst under the current owners. Although am not sure to some that tge stand opening will change that. Its been one complete fail after another. If the club feel that there is only a real negativity issue with a minority of fans they are mistaken. Its starting to feel like us and them. What the club need to get better at is actually holding their hands up and admitting when they have ballsed up. Darren Kelly aside. We have just been expected to accept and be happy about all the other disasters. Someone on here has mentioned that the club should arrange a meeting with all directors and fans in the new stand and outline futre plans for the club and how we are going to move forward. I can not tell you how much of a big impact this will have on the fans. This club has great fans and we have all been there when the noise levels and passion in the stands is brilliant. Where you go home and you buzzing to be a blue. We travel in good numbers and and have shown time and time again our backing to the players. The club do care am sure they do, holding a meeting like that could get more fans onside and lets be honest cant piss many more off.
  12. I am sure Mr.Corney would rather have these fans myself included at games voicing there opinions, over these fans not attending games and leaving in silence like thousands of others have.
  13. In terms of seasons we have had worse. In terms of calender year. This is the worst for a very long time.
  14. We have been drawn away to a team in our league, like I said previously its the cup. Bradford at chelsea last year. Salford on Friday. Warrington last season. Us beating Liverpool. The cup throws up shocks all the time. Oldham winning away at Sheff Utd won't go down as a FA cup shock. Plus we have a decent record there.
  15. Sure people thought that the year we won at forest away and then beat liverpool. Its the cup league form goes out the window!
  16. A lad i know is seeing his sister. He's a bit of a nob by all accounts.
  17. Whatever happens and yeah it is :censored: and am going out of habit to be honest. Stopping going to games will only put a further nail in the Oldham Athletic coffin. Knowing this is one of my only reasons that I will keep going.
  18. The fact there is a thread on this tells its own story. Its horrific truly horrific. As someone has already said its boring negative football. At the moment am going out of habit. A friend has lent me a season ticket for the next two home games. If he hadnt I would be questioning if I wanted to pay £22 to watch that at the moment especially with xmas round the corner. When you add a pint or 2 and a pie its touching £40 a game. I can take us getting beat when you can see we have gone out and tried to win a game of football, at the moment we are going out not to lose. I am not expecting us to turn it around anytime soon, although I hope we do.
  19. So am a spineless idiot for wanting a manager who gave us genuine hope since Dowie back. I can live with that.
  20. I said exactly the same thing to a mate before. I wanted and looked forward to watching Latics under Johnson. Now am going out of habit.
  21. Didnt realise he was only in charge for 13 games
