  1. my first feeling was... arsed? total apathy think it would be funny if there was just total disinterest in the pair of them, seems they can't wait to arrive and be centre stage, i'd love to see them both completely ignored
  2. well done kel, this is great news a few years ago i wondered if he was brave enough to make it, jesus that's changed, what i've seen of him lately i think he's one of the bravest we've got, and very talented
  3. cheers... and maybe it was for the acoustics!
  4. think the last time i stood on there we played luton and beat them 5-1, although i think it was a closer game than the result suggests. did sharp score 4 that day? or maybe i had sunstroke, it was a baking hot day, i loved standing on there in the sun
  5. Rochdale, Morecambe, Stockport, Bradford/Grimsby/Darlington
  6. pretty poor tease then! you'd think he'd be able to think up a better one after being on the butt end of the 'david sheepshanks' call
  7. yes and yes. can't really say i'm arsed about moore tbh
  8. cool, the team you hate lost and you won money too. great weekend, why so miserable?
  9. I know this has been mentioned on the boards for some time, seems Bolton have the same problems. Be interesting to see whether it works or not. I might be going to this one... BOLTON Wanderers fans will soon have no excuse for "only singing when they're winning". The club is setting up a singing section for fans attending next month's UEFA Cup tie at the Reebok Stadium. The North Stand will be set aside for supporters wishing to blast out a few chants as the Wanderers battle to beat Atletico Madrid on February 14. http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/wanderers/w...reebok_fans.php

    MOM yesterday?

yep, the one that stuck out was when he made an idiot out of jagielka in the corner, turned passed to hughes who crossed the ball, and got chants of hughesy hughesy!

    MOM yesterday?

i went for eardley, seemed composed, great first touch, read the game well, always available as an outlet/back up plan to retain possession but... it really could have been anyone, hazell and stam won every ball crossley was commanding and made good decisions, important early save lomax was great, composed on the ball and got his head or body in where it mattered without flinching, thinking particularly of his near post header defending a corner smalley was a good outlet, and the other 3 midfielders battled for everything and played sensibly the front 2 ran their hearts out and took the pressure off, davies burned jagielka all day, hughes was up for it, they were a pair of pains in the arses all day we matched them all over the pitch, and we made it an even battle, so proud
  12. yes he was from that bunch and he was a midfielder, quite skilful, could tackle and made good positive runs into the box. think he might have been mad as a hatter tho
  13. i saw him play for our reserves and he didn't look anything out of the ordinary, i'm no scout tho the players i used to rate at that level went nowhere, remember Ricky Evans? I thought he looked great, was one of my favourites in the reserves at that time, god knows where he ended up
  14. cheers, i had thought them out, btw that was the most shameless pitch for a job in the ticket office i've ever seen
  15. Yep, I really can't speak highly enough about him. And thanks for the info, the frustrating thing is that the planning and arrangements were in place, and it was probably justified to try and get people to pick up if they can. As AH says, if you can't pick up then the option was there, the ticket office staff just failed to communicate this. Seeing as they didn't then surely they should be reminded. I don't think as a customer you should be made to justify needing to the ticket office (or to amoweb - i know where whitefield is, i drive there every day) why you need them put in the post More Alan Hardy's please
  16. Well, Alan Hardy's been great as ever. Quick response and he has been extremely helpful. The crux of his reply was that the ticket office is short staffed at the moment due to sickness and leave and that local fans are encouraged to collect tickets by calling at the ticket office in person. However if you are unable to get to the office during normal hours then phone orders should be accepted. The only thing missing was a statement saying he would be giving them a rocket about their levels of customer service. You'd think you were ringing the ticket office staff at home during tea time with their attitude. They just hate to be bothered. I shouldn't have to liase with the Chief Exec/Director to get a match ticket.
  17. back to the topic, there is potential for losing fans over this, i only ended up a Latics fan because my dad for some reason took me to Oldham v Blackburn. He supports Bolton, but I was hooked. Only takes one game, but if we turn people away and it's easier elsewhere....
  18. thanks DS, i spoke to him last time this happened, i've just mailed him. I had previously sent it to Judith Lane and the enquiries address appreciate it
  19. I don't know what other people's experiences of the Oldham ticket office are. I think in person they are fine, on the telephone they are a disgrace, an absolute shambles. Usually i'll turn up and pay, but occassionally for away games I need to buy over the phone. Every time some nonsense excuse is used to stop me. Today, trying to buy an Everton ticket for me and my son, I live too close, Whitefield, and they are rather busy so they refuse to post. This is crazy, had I been calling from Land's End or John O'Groats the tickets would have been paid for and on the way right now. As it is, I probably won't be able to make it to the ticket office, so they can shove them sideways up... I am not asking for free postage, I will happily pay. Some sort of ridiculous thing like this happens every single time I try to buy over the phone. Are we Manchester United or Real Madrid who can pick and choose fans, or are we a small struggling club sharing a catchment area with about 20 other clubs in the region. I can't get to the club, I work full time and have a young family. My wife is a Nurse who works shifts. I leave work and have to race to the nursery to pick my 2 year old up. I take him in on the way to work. I can't leave work at 3pm to do a round trip of Greater Manchester, and i'm sure the job of the ticket office is to sell and distribute tickets. Whether or not I can make it to the club ticket office is my judgement, not someone in the ticket office. So Bolton, my Dad's a fan, offer great family deals for games like Birmingham and West Ham in the next couple of weeks at similar prices and I can book online or phone up....
