  1. I'll open this one up a bit further, when was anyones?
  2. i'll never forgive him for getting rid of andy hughes and bringing paul reid to the club
  3. yep, i started taking my son when he was 3, and he was fine, he's 5 now but we've generally had to stop going until my youngest who is getting on for 2 is old enough! he was pretty good most of the time, took some action figures for when he got bored (this was in ronnie moore's era after all) and some treats for half time and he was no probs he's been to a load of home games, plus forest and wolves away, he loves it
  4. ha ha, keep up the good work, and as i said before good luck in the race we should have mascot mic to hear the muffled insults, all we see are giant fluffy animals with permanent smiles squaring off
  5. you mascots seem a tetchy bunch! always seem to be confrontations - is it because you are all rabid fans or is it the 'red bull' good luck in the race, and don't let up in the final stretch
  6. Hodgson, remember him well - one of Warnocks bunch of travelling thugs. Hated that Paul Reid he brought too, talented player but an absolute scumbag Hated Craig Davies when he played against us last year
  7. very interesting, especially re b&q probably the biggest ugliest and closest to houses since then the rochdale road end was re-done, was there much opposition from local residents about the redevelopment there?
  8. didn't know that i think we should go all out and copy newport county
  9. it wasn't a serious worry i have to say it doesn't warrant being voted our worst ever kit, that green one has that one nailed. i liked the red and white strip we had about 1o or so years ago, our white strip from a couple back or last seasons worked for me
  10. Funny you should mention it, turned the game on and my wife nearly had a convulsion saying how hideous the Valencia kit was, I had to break the news to her that it was almost identical to our new away kit At the risk of being banned from the site, i really don't like our new away kit
  11. they're perfect i need media training
  12. what in the premiership? was he as good as ricketts at that level? anyway i'm not arguing, i think ricketts is a good signing, as i was getting at in my post when the relevant parts are quoted in full
  13. no, of course i didn't believe those rumours, but i was sure it would at least be robbie fowler i just worry that ricketts has gone from team to team on a downward spiral and failed to show an increased impact and i also said at the very very worst before the chris hall bit, thanks!
  14. i think so, and when i read "the pacey defender", i was even more convinced, i think although another mid and a genuine left back are priorities, we'll need another defender to cover injuries (stam/gregan) and loss of form
  15. if we get him fit and interested he'll be great for us, he's big strong and mobile was a little underwhelmed when the signing was announced, but i'm warming to it, i certainly think he gives us a different option to the rest, and at the very very worst, he'll give us slightly better options up there than chris hall did. he only needed one chance to score against us for leeds even when he was out of form, so hope it goes well for him my worry is that from watching at bolton (family are bolton fans), even when he's on form he'll give the impression of not being interested, he's got the body language that will attract the boo-boys, and lets be honest we've got plenty of those
  16. pound for pound he's the biggest signing available
  17. hand up just been reading about the qpr situation and apparently they wrote a cheque to repay the debt, which bounced.. http://www.barnsleyfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page...1069352,00.html anyway, got me thinking who qpr had that might fit the description... paul furlong?? only a guess
  18. didn't think that was out of order, but if it was apologies!
  19. but be fair, that's why konstantopolous went to coventry in the championship, and he might be free but what wage is he on as for thornton, he's got big-time charlie written all over him but has failed to make a sustained impact anywhere he's been
  20. i think they are entitled to take the money, especially after seeing out the contract. although it does make me wonder about the use of 2 year contracts.... the point that annoyed me is the slating of porters ambition, and i think that whilst he has taken the money and run to motherwell (and i don't blame him), he has also made a more astute career move than going elsewhere in our division. but i'm also sure if he had made a sideways to a club in our division and we got a transfer fee, he would have been less harshly criticised. i think people have confused sour grapes about a fee and ambition in the case of porter and the loyalty argument in football is proven to be ridiculous, from both sides
