  1. I would prefer Joe to stay but think Gannon would be a good secong choice ,interestingly Gannon moved house recently from Oldham to Stockport and it is rumoured that his wife wants to move back to Oldham.
  2. I think Joe will decide to stay no matter what happens this season.
  3. Hey Mart We may have to change the name if any guys from Mexico join to South North American Independant Laics Supporters SNAILS Yep weather is weird back to the sunshine today hope thats its, can start catching the monster carp here in Michigan.
  4. You know now Big Joe is back lets do it. I am in Northern Michigan can you believe it snowed here today for a couple of hours despite being in the 60s for the past two days. Robert
  5. Hey Martis you time zone sucks a bit doesnt start till 11am for me I am also saving for flights for wembley, already dreamt it keep the faith its gonna happen.
  6. Yep great signing well done Joe, Westlake is a good player in this league and Joe knows him well no doubt tireless midfileder with a bit of quality could be the new Mike Milligan, god wish I could be there Saturday.
  7. Signed it and good luck county heard all about this and more about a month ago . The 26th MARCH will be a significant date for county and possibly up to nine other clubs. It is somewhat worse for county though as they have no tangible assets. The worst case scenario which is possible in countys case is liquidation, that would be a disaster for them and football. Possible help is probably waiting in the wings to get the club at the lowest price, but it may be too late then. I hope they survive I dont wish what nearly happened to us on county at all. It is also worth remembering county is run by a trust make of that what you will, but be thankfull for what we have.I could add more but I was somewhat shouted down last time I mentioned this but things are starting to seep out now . Whatever happens good luck county hope you survive.
  8. Big daft bruising centre forward along the Shefti Kuqi or Alan Lee Mould, plus a midfielder, and a centre back.
  9. Given your away form I expect Cheltenham to soften you up a bit for a right Royle hammering on Saturday.
  10. Well done TTA for making a very hard and brave decision regarding JS you could see in his face over the last few games he had no answers. Great move to bring Joe back hope he pulls it off, just have a sneaky feeling he will. Thank you for your continued support . Robert
  11. Gotta say this this, and no disrespect mate but I am so pissed off with the last couple of months performances. I think you are Dreaming, we wont finish in the top 8,the longer this goes on the less chance there is of getting Gannon. Lets be honest why would he want to come here and manage the biggest and best squad we have had for a while (yawn) funny I never ever felt that way when people were bulling us up on here.If the squad was so good why have we loaned so many players, though I have to say Jones is a good player and I believe Kabba, and Byfield would score goals in this team If we had a midfield that knew how to penetrate a defence (Taylor excepted). Maybe thats what has upset morale too many loanees or short term ones. Considering Shezz was a midfielder of some quality I find it staggering that we have the most unbalanced an innefective midfields in this league. And still never managed to sort out the problem left back position which has been going on since Charlton retired. Nobody has mentioned this I dont think but Plymouth signed a lad from Skelsmersdale this week who has scored a :censored: load of goals, cant help feeling we are still missing out on local non league talent. To be honest in the interviews on latics world over the last few weeks Shezz has looked and sounded like a man under a lot of pressure,he quite clearly looks to me as though he is struggling to deal with it. No matter what happens he has been a loyal servant to this club and that should not be forgotton if his tenure comes to an end I hope it is done correctly. I would like to see us still get in the play offs but lets face it we are in relegation form at the moment and the season looks like it will finish in one big anti climax for us unfortunately. Like I said no offence mate but I think the rose tinted specs are well and truly off now and Shezz needs to be put out off his misery if he hasnt decided for himself already which I dont think can be too far away.
  12. Make the most of it while you can, you must be thrilled that the top six/seven before today have performed so eratically recently and kept your season alive. Bet Ronnie cant believe his luck, wouldnt like to predict the score next week if Shezz is still here the players owe him big time. But wether or not they want to repay him is debatable if they do you could suffer the backlash. If they dont can only see you winning but your away form is dire and of your remaining 9 games 6 are away but who knows you may come good. To be honest we should have been out of sight but cant see us finishing in the top 8 now.
  13. If Shezz does go, does anyone think we might go for a Royle - Ritchie combo until the end of the season. To buy some time and maybe make the right appointment, games are coming thick and fast now. I just feel any permanent appointment made now if in fact needed would take up a lot of resources and time. Unless of course TTA have successions planned and have someone already in mind ie Jim Gannon.
  14. If that is true then it looks as though Shezz is being made accountable and could be fired for lack of management control. Be a bit sad if his Oldham career ends this way. I suppose a lot depends on how things are viewed by the board ie current results.
  15. Part of the reason for Jim Gannon not leaving County is he is owed money from last season.
  16. As much as I admire your faith and hope it comes true, the events of the last few weeks have highlighted some serious problems for me which I hadn’t seen before. The biggest one being a lack of discipline, or a lack of being able to enforce it. Any manager worth his salt no matter what industry has to be able to command respect by asserting his authority and enforcing discipline when required. In our interests if a manager cannot enforce discipline off the field is it any wonder then that instructions are not being carried out on the pitch. I have been one of Shezs biggest supporters but I think he needs to get tough with one or two regardless of who they are. At the end of the day they are paid to do a job and some are clearly not doing it all the time at the moment. I would hate us too lose any of the players involved, but no player is bigger than the club no matter who he is. I really feel for TTA at the moment they have put so much in this season and their efforts with Link Pink have been undermined by this latest episode they must be fuming. Interestingly Saturday’s dire performance was not watched by Simon Blitz who had returned to the US, but he had watched the two previous games. I was a manager for twenty years in a different sector and I can tell you if I was in this position today I would in fear of my job, it all comes down to who is responsible and probably more importantly who is accountable. I think we could well be in for a shock when the findings are announced later this week. I suppose a lot will depend on the TTA thinking it has already been said that they are unhappy about players days off, but to balance that whay are Shezz and Tommy Wright in Hungary this week when we have such an important fixture on Saturday, I know this link up could be beneficial but if young players are involved couldnt Dux and TP have gone. If Shezz is still manager after this episode is concluded, anything less than promotion at the end of the season will probably see us looking for a new manager for next season.
  17. I think you are probably right, they will probably denounce the bilge that is spouted on here
  18. All the strikers have been proven goalscorers in the past , I think we will come good someone is going to get an absolute pasting of us very soon.
  19. I think the team has been crying out for a midfield general for a while now, but the question is who is available? There are not many of these types of players around any more most midfield players available are very similar to what we have already got . For all the poor displays recently it would not suprise me one bit if we went to Millwall and dicked em 3-1, but we could end up losing as well by the same scoreline if we play like we have been doing.
  20. Is this the same player who has been inefective ever since the Scunthorpe game thinking he had made it after that one performance? No doubt Alessandra will be a good player but he is not the finished article yet. Windass didn’t have a good game by all accounts yesterday but not many did. It could be argued that Windass won us 4 points in the two games prior to yesterday. Think people should give him a bit longer before they make judgment after all he has still only played a handful of games all season, with a bit more luck he could have had 5 goals already.
  21. Latest news on that is the consortium have ditched him, but still interested in taking over there are a few other issues as well which I am sure will come out soon.
