  1. Careful Big Fin this guys a Marketing Genius
  2. There may well be some truth in this rumour, you have to wonder how long Chris Taylor will let his heart make the decisions. I dont think I would be too unhappy if he decided to go providing we got a good fee for him. If he waits too long he may miss the opportunity to better himself,he has been good for us although unlucky this season maybe its time for him to move on.
  3. Worked out quite nicely this one, begining of the season we would have done well to get him off the payroll. To get a fee for him just shows how things can turn around for players in a different set up and playing another style. And when fans take to someone and give them a chance. Good luck Chris, Rochdales style of play must suit you. Now then! what happens with this money will be crucial to our season, and maybe our future spend it wisely Mr Penney or you will follow Mr O Grady out of the BP door I fear.
  4. We will probably end up playing what is effectively a County reserve side if the game goes ahead which even now is very doubtful. County have lost the last eleven games and have just sold Baker to Coventry, Johnson to Norwich, and let Peter Thompson return to Ireland.
  5. Killen is a quality player when fit and interested. His goal per game ratio for us was quite good, he just didnt play enough. Injury prone ? probably
  6. Think we can rule posh out they are trying signing Rueben Reid or Charlton striker Izale McLeod . I would very much doubt we get anywhere near six figures, but you never know, the money would come in handy as well as another player of the wage bill.
  7. With the exception of Hefferman I dont see were we have had the opportunity to bring in another striker, although I agree we need one. Maybe the next few weeks will see some movement both in and out especially with the impending departure of O'Grady. As bad as things appear to be at BP at the moment there are plenty of clubs in far worse situations than us a couple of wins will see us move up the table. I feel for sure with some players returning from injury and others regaining confidence our strongest side will finish mid table or above. Maybe even better if we get a decent striker in to partner Pav.
  8. Parker needs to be on the phone to his agent, he doesnt want to be here and it shows.... after all being late for work when you havent been in for 3 weeks shows a lack of committment Totally agree with that comment, dont think its the first time this season either.
  9. I think this signing was always going to be a gamble, I was hoping it would pay off and maybe it will yet. But it is looking ominous, and would not be at all suprised to see Parker gone before the end of the month maybe to Rochdale in a swap deal involving O'Grady and Dagnall. When I was his age I would have shot my granny to play for Latics, I dont understand these guys who have such a chance to play football and appear to do everything to screw it up.
  10. 23 games is not really long enough especially given the injuries we have had.
  11. Yes the Stockport situation is real sad, the majority of their real fans have a lot of time for Latics its very sad the fans deserve better. The club never saw a penny of the play off money and Jim Gannon left without being paid his bonus for winning the play offs. Part of the reason Gannon left county was he was a trained accountant and the people running the club couldnt pull the wool over his eyes, I think the final straw was when they banned him from the board meetings.
  12. Its a lot worse at county than you think, the aptly named Sale Sharks also take a huge cut of any Transfer Fees at present. As I understand it there is a very real danger that League rules could well have been broken already and I believe the whole thing is complex mess. The Sale Sharks Owner sounds like a real nice fellow by all accounts.
  13. I f we had spent the same kind of money as them I would expect the same as. Although I know what you saying, I think DP has been really unlucky with injuries and has never been able to play his best eleven yet in my view.Look at Taylor for instance, he gets over his injury then goes down with the flu. He's a big player for us and we need him firing on all cylinders. Heffernan and Abbot could well be a good partnership once we get Abbott back. I cant see there being much activity in Jan unless there is a suprise move for one of ours, or Richards moves on which I doubt he played today although subbed. That said the impending move to Rochdale of O'Grady may free up room for one if Rochdale can afford the fee as I think there will be one involved no matter where he goes.
  14. Got to give it to you Royle Army, your on a bit of a roll here. Is the Heff deal going to turn into a full time deal come Jan?
  15. Wonder if anybody else will be banging our door down in Jan to sign him.
  16. Thanks for the info Daniel, I just figured it was Leeds as you would lol.
  17. Hardly a horror show most refs wouldnt have given it. The ref on Saturday was influenced by the home support who give Gregan stick every year, something from his Leeds days.
  18. Never doubted Gregan would turn out to be a good player again this season, pity he didnt go down and make a meal of it when he was elbowed in the face twice on Saturday.
  19. Does anybody know if the gane is viewable in the USA anywhere thanks.
  20. Now theres a name for our dynamic duo commentry team to creamate, I think he has only just come back from an injury as well although he does sound like a good prospect.
  21. Fleming wont be no returning messiah, he has conceded more goals than Brill in fewer games. Although the lad shows promise he has yet to iron out the flaws in his game but he had a good game on Saturday http://www.dafc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/...1837058,00.html Think Brill deserves a bit more respect he has shown a very good attitude, less mentally tough keepers would have crumbled by now he has kept plugging away. Wasnt Pogs a little bit similar when he first arrived, I am sure with the current work ethic at the club he his working very hard too improve. Hard work does eventually pay off especially in football, I think Colbeck will be another example of this when hes adapted to this level.
  22. How refreshing this is compared to the roll over and die attitude we displayed for large parts of last season, nothing like a team that can win ugly with hard graft away from home.
  23. Well they were not injured when we signed them, dont think you can question DP management with what he has to play with at the moment. The thiing that concerns me more at the moment is the TTA lack of profile. Maybe they are wrapped up in this stadiun business, which if the case fair enough its probably a lot of work dealing with those people. But they seem very quiet compared to previous seasons.
  24. Sure is, shut the moaning numptys up for a while.
