  1. All I know is last season we were the only postponement with a frozen pitch in the top six divisions one Saturday so had absolutely zero chance of getting this on.
  2. Was never gonna be on should of saved the money wasted on leccy.
  3. I agree and I suspect part of any Scholes deal will include a joint agreement with regards to future transfers. It's okay a chairman having an input along with a Sporting Director but they have to start trusting people to do their jobs otherwise he might as well as appoint himself as manager.
  4. True and we wouldn't of gone through without him in much the same way I feel we'd of got something at Doncaster with him, no doubt he picked and choosed when he wanted to perform but he's a million times better than the other shite we've been left with and brought in recently, only hope is that one of the new lads hits the ground running.
  5. You mean players like Menig with pedigree? Who was on a reported 11k a week but you'd begrudge paying one of the highest profile ex-players in the country the going rate? Part of the problem this club has had particularly in our relegation season was the tail wagging the dog, players on 5, 6, 8 or 10k holding all the power, controlling the dressing room and dictating which direction the club goes in, all whilst a succession of managers on £800 a week lose the dressing room, what other walk of life sees the manager on a 10nth of one of his subordinates earn? I know some of the problems from last season are down to AL's controlling manner something he promised he'd change but the only way I can see an end to some of this behaviour is by appointing a coach of Scholes standing, under this chairman it's the only hope and Scholes has to be given complete control over the playing side of the club if we've got any chance of moving forward.
  6. But you both found the need to reply on the Surridge? thread
  7. It's not totally inconceivable that Bournemouth just wanted their player back because of the managerial situation at the club, Howe obviously rates the lad and he has a duty to protect him with a view to the future, I'm sure Howe was on the phone to Bunn for an heads up and there were also rumours he wasn't a great fan of AL coming into the dressing room and I've heard that off more than one person, it's certainly not something he'd be used to at Bournemouth. Whatever has gone on Howe probably think it's best he sees out the remainder of the season with them and given their current league position he might be given some game time if they are safe in mid table going into the last couple of weeks.
  8. Like I expected Ellis Plummer to be able to play football when we plucked him from Man Citys U23's only to be bitterly disappointed, let's hope the two new arrivals are in the Iverson/Lang/Surridge bracket.
  9. Think their main focus is to take Oysten down which I'd say they are not far from doing.
  10. I'd say Blackpool fans have had quite a bit of success actually.
  11. Be on the bench soon enough, look at Brookes who he took in the summer from Sheffield Utd I think, nobody had heard of him and he wasn't even a regular for Sheffield Utd but Howe gave him a chance and now he's a first team regular at 21.
  12. You should of got more games in then in the past decade, you can't blame the fans for staying away when we haven't finished any higher than about 15th for eons and have been mismanaged for as long as I care to remember.
