  1. Having watched the highlights again that penalty given against Kitching is as bad as a decision you'll see anywhere this weekend, that liners seen their lad go down and starting waving his flag around, he has seen absolutely nothing there and Kitching has done nothing for their lad to throw himself down like that.
  2. Gardner definitely was on I was level, as for some of the other decisions by that liner though......
  3. We would struggle to shift 15k for Wembley, I reckon it would be about 12k.
  4. Scenes on Good Friday at home to Fylde when Norwood bangs an hatrick in. But Hudson is named man of the match because Jenny has tipped the sponsors off that they can vote for anyone but the special one.
  5. Imagine siding with Simon Corney and Barry Owen along with a string of others who've run this club in to the ground. Anyway back to the issue, I don't like it, it's poor form from our best payed player and that's my view, I don't take sides and behave like I'm in the playground I'm my own man, so what you or anyone else has to say won't sway my opinion. Like I've said he isn't bigger than the club despite what he thinks of himself.
  6. He should of turned up and accepted the award from paying guests, bad form that he hasn't, it really is that simple for me. Nobody else in the squad would of been given that leeway and it smacks of arrogance, regardless of the circumstances.
  7. 7 cup finals, ironically the dropped points st home against the poor teams may well now come back to bite us on the arse. It's still sort of in our own hands.
  8. Dagenham (a) Fylde (h) Altrincham (a) Rochdale (h) Oxford (a) Wealdstone (h) Halifax (a) I reckon we need 14 or 15 points from these fixtures which looks a big ask to me. Saturday really is a must win given some teams around us have winnable fixtures as well as their games in hand a week Tuesday.
  9. That's not what happened though is it. Lads playing at Level 5 and he behaves like he's up for the Ballon D'or. After yesterday's sulk it looks like he's pushing for a move to me. He certainly isn't bigger than the club regardless of ability but rightly or wrongly feels he can behave how he pleases when Mellon's around and before anyone claims he's singlehandedly firing us to promotion that's complete bollocks, he played better yesterday granted but his behaviour leaves a lot to be desired. Thankfully Hogan stepped in for the MOM presentation and fulfilled the duties Norwood felt he was above. Wonder if he'd of shirked them if he'd fired in a late winner.
  10. Referees at this level are generally incompetent, what narks me the most is how it's always got to be about them, that ref today universally pissed everybody off in the stadium today, he allowed rugby tackles as the norm today yet booked Garner within seconds of coming on for the most innocuous challenge you'll ever see, compare it to Grimes rugby tackle on Dallas who looked clean through first half yet the ref didn't have so much as a word in his ear. Norwood was eased off the ball all afternoon with a sly push but when he returned the favour the ref immediately blew up, blatant fucking cheating that in my opinion and the game was too big for him. Finally Cook (who I don't have a problem with by the way) has gone at the officials all day long with no punishment yet Mellon does near on the same for a booking, absolute cunt.
  11. The biggest factor for me today was the conscious effort to play it about, pass and move and being brave enough to show for the ball, then having heart to try to do something with it. It really is what the fans want to see and players won't get crucified for trying this, it felt like we were all in it together for the first time at home in a long time.
  12. Norwood doesn't like going over for the MOM presentation he has history of not being too keen on fulfilling his duties in that respect, he's even refused to answer questions put over to him on one occasion when he's won it, for me it's poor form particularly as it is the match sponsor who decide and they've ploughed a fair few quid in for the privilege. He really should lead by example on these occasions and it's disappointing taking the gloss off the performance, I just find it hard to warm to a player who clearly doesn't want to be here or at least gives that impression at times.
  13. He can't see your posts as you well know so you're not asking questions your singling him out again, it's tedious.
  14. Thought Sheron was MOM, if he could pass a ball he'd be playing in the Championship. Best I've seen from Norwood and Dallas today, both did all the hard work and linked up well with the midfield. Lundstrum far more positive, made the first by thinking positively, he continued to play in the same way and the crowd responded well, even on the odd occasion it didn't quite happen for him. Mcghahey was solid enough, Gardner disappointing although he did show and offer an option wide left. I thought there were some dreadful defending from both teams today, you can see why Chesterfield let so many in and the defenders for most teams are largely awful at this level. Raglan piss poor for the majority but backing off and not attacking the ball for the goal was criminal. Thought Hogan was hit and miss again and he again showed his frailties, didn't Jack it in like last week at least. Should have won but more than happy with the performance, trick now is to play with that intensity against the lesser teams and we'll get our rewards. Ref was a grade A cunt, blatant dive from Colclough and the liner didn't have the balls to let the ref know, referee has seen nothing there because Colclough basically threw himself on the floor, him and the ref are a pair of cheating cunts and I'm sick of getting done by officials guessing at decisions. Frustrating but fair play for the performance.
  15. Might be able to compete today with Chesterfield playing their reserves.
  16. Might be able to compete today with Chesterfield playing their reserves.
  17. Because Norwood nor Dallas have looked like scoring from open play for a couple of months, Fondop and Garner seem to have been more effective. As for conceding Chesterfield have scored as many as anyone in the last 6 games and that's despite them having a couple of iffy results. 3-0 Chesterfield would be my bet. 14/1 or even 4-0 at 28's.
  18. As for the game regardless of what team we put out predictably I fear the worst. Watching Ollie Banks and Mike Jones take the piss out of Mcghahey, Sheron and Lundstrum for 90 minutes isn't my idea of fun. Result wise I'll be surprised if we score if it's Norwood and Dallas upfront and we'll probably concede two or three. I expect Dobra and Mandeville to have their usual decent games against us and Berry and Colclough to have field days against our full backs late on if they are used as subs given all the column inches they've had on here. Our usual sluggish laboured start wont cut it today against a team that are notoriously quick starters.
  19. Best paid squad and highest paid manager tells me this seasons been a huge disappointment, if/when we lose tomorrow we would be 36 points behind Chesterfield yet some are still describing it as progress, add to that we are treated to a bore fest at BP every other week and this seasons is in danger of turning in to a bit of a damp squib. Blame who you want - there's little to get excited about at the minute given the team we send out and the tactics we employ.
  20. I think the hoofball will continue, if it does I'd prefer Fondop and Garner up there feeding off the scraps.
  21. If they swan around sulking like they did at Aldershot then we'll get hammered, hopefully they'll show a bit of pride and bollocks. If we start Norwood and Dallas upfront and they continue to hoof it up to them then serious questions should be asked of Mellon. Think we will lose 3-0.
  22. Not a chance although like the players he should be under some pressure to get us to perform, he needs backing and his point return tells you that although it's not pretty it could be counted as progress. When we've got his team I think we will see a difference.
  23. You could argue we've got worse for the batch of new signings.
  24. Hogan was as bad as anyone Saturday and a team that keeps falling apart should have it's Captain questioned in my opinion. I understand your point though, on the left side of a back two or even three he's the only centrehalf we have comfortable on the left, I just don't like McGhaey there and Suttons untested. I'm shocked we've not played a 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 under Mellon, personally I'd go with; Hudson Sutton Raglan Hogan Kitching Atherton Gardner Conlon Sheron Walker Norwood or Fondop or Garner I know some will crab playing a kid but he's got to be worth a chance given he is the only player we can turn to who can turn a defence. We can't continue to play narrow and through the middle surely?, since Green has gone we've looked devoid of anything going forward and that in itself tells you where our issues are.
  25. Watched the match back, how bad was Hogan, shameful for the second goal and gave up at times. Looks like he was sulking to me.
