  1. Or crack their ribs whilst laughing at a deyres42 post.
  2. Sorry but that's a bit silly. We want to get out of this shit league, and we haven't got many good players. We need them.
  3. Absolutely, today was an information gathering exercise. If all it did was confirm what MM already thought about some of those players (and present that to the CEO and the board too) then it did serve some purpose. And on to the league, where he's doing quite well with a not-very-good squad. I'd rather get out of this league than win the FA Trophy. As for the "get rid right now" comments, there is just no point in doing that. For players like Shelton, Nuttall, and many others, there is a cost - if they can hold out and get something, anything, back from another club at some stage, rather than just paying off their contracts in full, then each bit that they get goes back into the budget. Unsworth has left us with a bag of shit and we need to turn it into a silk purse. Every little helps.
  4. I think that’s the thing. We’ve got a big squad that costs quite a lot of money, but beyond about 14 of them the rest add nil (if not less). That what MM has inherited and will have to sort. As we’ve seen, getting rid of the surplus is going to be very difficult, slow and expensive.
  5. Indeed, he’s a member of our team. I don’t know why some people think it’s “lucky” to have a good keeper. If we score a great goal is it “lucky” because we’ve got a good outfield player?
  6. Do we know what's happening with Ward and Dickenson please? Are they injured, or have they joined Nuttall on the list of players that we don't want any more?
  7. According to Wikipedia he scored 1 goal in 104 appearances before joining us. It may perhaps be a case of us discovering that, as he's developed (age 26 now) he's actually become something rather different than what everyone had always assumed throughout his career. Maybe we bought an ugly duckling (yes, we've had a few of those) and will now be able to play him as a swan.
  8. I was thinking of his sister Sharon Sheron. Hotter than a third successive away win!
  9. Quite right. We’ll never create anything with fucking Sheron in midfield.
  10. That would be why Harry Vaughan got binned then. Ironic, given how Mr Rhino was brought in to build up a system / platform for the club to grow, yet we ended up with (a) crap football and (b) no chance for our own youth product in the team. The dream (nightmare) combo.
  11. Just out of interest, what’s your line of work? Motivational speaker? Party host? Career coach?
  12. Rhino is an undiscovered genius. It’s only him and McFluffy who understand the importance of having a fourth striker on the bench, rather than wasting the spot on a goalkeeper. The whole of the rest of the football world is “talking shit”, including MM apparently. Still, he got away with it tonight…
  13. I was counting them in my figures. I thought he signed Mcgahey (?) and he put HH on the retained list.
  14. Surprising stat (for me at least). 6 Sheridan signings played tonight, plus Norman as an unused substitute.
  15. We need the boys to turn up and play football. Then we have a match on, and with any luck we can get a result...
  16. Oh right, maybe we're just displeased that he's not in the starting 11 and perhaps we have another loan lined up for him. Would be interesting if he got into our squad though.
  17. Kofi Moore recalled from Workington, looks like he may get into our match day squad.
  18. Carol Vorderman is still very fit, and she’s free after being fired by the BBC. I’m not sure what her favourite position is though…
  19. Perhaps Mr Rhino was hoping to produce the next Harry Vaughan?
  20. Gorton was brilliant when he came into the first team - could have been an England keeper in my view. What a great, great shame that he couldn't put that talent to use.
  21. Nope, nzlatic is right, this happened very recently in first half of the semi final between England and SA when Owen Farrell said something to the ref, the ref moved it forwards 10m and they kicked it for 3 points.
  22. If you say enough things then eventually one of them will look sensible- it seems like Fluffy got there in the end!
  23. Indeed. We could have done with the talent and pride of Harry Vaughan last night. (Edit: I'm hoping that the new management team, especially with Paul Murray bridging the gap between first team and others, may be a lot better in this regard).
