There were dozens of schoolboy errors made last season, some with big repercussions and some with smaller ones. In the end, all of these seem to have been critical, in the sense that one less bullet in our own foot would have been enough for us to limp over the line (e.g. the last minute penalty by Moimbe when he wasn't even near the ball). However, in all of this, Paul F'in Jewell deserves a special mention - to accept the job and then bail out so quickly was a really shit move, and it seemed to damage performance. It can't have helped with morale and stability when Wellens et al were struggling as it is in a turbulent environment. And he has history as well, having apparently done the same thing at WBA 3 years earlier (he only lasted one week there, according to Wikipedia). What a total twat.
