  1. "I'm sorry, I ate all the sausage rolls. And the cake. And the albatross. I know it's wrong, but I'm just feeling a bit above par. Please forgive me."
  2. It’s always been the same, sadly. I remember having to stand near certain chimps screaming at Neil Pointon that his corners were “shit” and even berating Neil Adams for abandoning the wing and coming into the box to score 2 goals in one match. Now we have a bunch of hysterical keyboard warriors picking up on a Twitter rumour with pages of meltdown/ vitriol about how things are so poor that Norwood wanted to leave after one game - given his performances and the interview yesterday, I feel that they may be mistaken. It’s not enough to stop me supporting OAFC and all that Frank / Darren are doing, but it doesn’t enhance the experience.
  3. The best striker / keeper that we ever had was Darren Beckford, he was a superb emergency keeper.
  4. ...and 2 against Liverpool in a 4-2 League Cup defeat at Boundary Park.
  5. I started a rendition of "Allez les bleus" at a Varsity rugby match once - I was very pleased with myself at the time.
  6. Branger could not be any less effective than Nepo today (awaits second half hat trick).
  7. and Bury to play soon. Could be 4 point gap after that.
  8. Stay calm. Focus on deep slow breaths. Do not make eye contact.
  9. Strange one that. Games are ticking down and we have 2 slots taken up by injured players (I assume, heard nil about the left back guy).
  10. Yes, my wording was rather loose there, but "transferred out to..." is all we can make out from what I've seen so far.
  11. Dummigan sold. https://www.dundalkfc.com/dummigan-signs-for-lilywhites/
  12. What about the new left back and the new striker that we signed on loan? Can someone update us on them? Maybe it's been discussed but I didn't see why they weren't in the squad at Crawley.
  13. DLP? Derker Liberation Party? "That's the DLP...we're the LDP!" Edit: seriously, the further away for our penalty area the better...
  14. You're a big player now MR KIG, being tracked by the EFL! Next they'll be after manager holding stakes in competing clubs...Thanks for doing this, it's much appreciated and I'd love to be part of your underground syndicate, sounds very alternative and exciting for an old git like me!
  15. There were some decent things (Hamer’s goal, decent performances from all 3 home grown defenders etc.) but I genuinely thought that the movement off the ball was the worst I’ve ever seen. A lot of the time when we had the ball there was absolutely nobody moving to try to create somewhere for the man in possession to pass to - they all just stood still. Vera was like a 45 year old Ron Futcher, but without the skill (I was a big fan of Ron Futcher). MK Dons offered nothing going forward other than the 2 penalties. I’m still trying to work out why Baxter would want to make that tackle - unbelievable for someone of his experience.
