  1. Just to confirm and stop me from getting confused can I ask you what you think I should do. I have sent the same email to all councillors who voted against. I have had replies from a handful. I have then sent personal responses to these. So my question is do I just resend another blanket email, or would you like me to collate all emails sent and received and email to the addresses? I have one email that may cause an argument between Bashforth and whoever sent it (I have a rubbish memory) as he disagreed with him chairing the meeting. Sorry if this doesn't make any sense, hope it does. I don't know what good would come of emailing everything round as I'm not sure I would get responses, but then maybe that isn't the point? Sorry again. Been up since 5 and my brain aint working!!
  2. I meant that I had entered a petition, didn't hear anything, emailed them after 6 days and they replied saying it takes 5 days.... I got told off a bit at work as well cos we work with the council. Oops. Didn't think that one through.
  3. Done and sent round work. Mine seems to have got lost.....
  4. I already put this somewhere but not sure where it is! So don't shout at me for repeating!!
  5. I've emailed all the councillors who voted against with the link and asked for their comments. I've had one reply. This said he didn't agree with Bashforth's actions.
  6. There's a bit here http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle2891251.ece
  7. I like the naming and shaming of councillors as well. I think it's quite a good article that appears to be slightly on our side.
  8. Seeing as though most of the email responses I am now getting read pretty much the same, I think they discussed how to deal with all the complaints they were getting.
  9. Haha, I just found someone at work who "just has one" as well! How odd.....
  10. I work with them. I could try and get a deal?
  11. I'm trying to hunt one down at work that we may be able to borrow. I'll get back to you.
  12. Afternoon Councillor, I spent the first 3 years of my life in Failsworth, followed by another 8 in Chadderton before my mum decided we should move to Bury. Now then, what were the reasons I asked myself at the time. All my friends and family were in Oldham, and I was being taken to a strange place where I didn't know anybody and the people seemed different. After 14 years of living in Bury I have the answers. The schools are poorer in Oldham. There is more crime. There is nothing to do. There are not enough jobs. The place has a negative feel. And these are my mum's answers, not mine. After yesterday evenings farce, I can add a new one to that list. The council do not like change. There are 2 places I spend the majority of my time. I live in Bury, I work in Oldham. I recently decided to buy a house with my boyfriend. First time buyer. And guess where I chose to plough upto £160,000? Pay my taxes to. Hopefully have kids and send them to school to. You guessed it, Bury. Originally I wanted to come home. Because I still see Oldham as my home. After last night, I would be ashamed to call it my home. I am from Bury. Bury has a cinema, a bowling alley, an Asda, a Tesco, large M&S, a world famous market, they are building new retail complexes to include a large Debenhams, several gyms, several hotels with conferencing facilities, an ever expanding Millgate shopping centre, new business premises, car showrooms are popping up everywhere, decent schools and colleges to which people travel from miles around, a new and improved Metrolink, new retail parks. The list is endless. Now then, what does Oldham have? Elk Mill, Bingo hall, unpopular, dying market, new Asda. And now I'm struggling, and I travel all over the town! Don't compare much do they? Another point I would like to raise is the role of the chair of a meeting. I believe they are there to guide the discussion. Ensure the same point is not raised repeatedly. Draw out different opinions and encourage those who are quiet to speak of their thoughts. Can you honestly say you carried out your role correctly last night? I was utterly disgusted at your comments against the plans and your blatant attempt at influencing committee members votes. The whole process was an absolute shambles. Councillors who hadn't even read the plans, arguments over natinally accepted traffic statistics and models and ignorance towards government policies. But most of all, sheer horror at the ignorance of people who actually live in this dying town voting against a plan that would not only generate jobs, provide well needed office space for businesses, conferencing facilities, affordable housing, but provide a level footing for the towns football club, which unites many. Thank you for your time Councillor Bashforth. I am from Bury, but a Latics fan keeping the faith until I die. Regards, Jacqueline Roberts
  13. Just to say that I will be there, as will the boyfriend, and my brother. So add 3 onto your 33 cos I didn't see the vote. And I'm trying to get people from work to go as well.
  14. Like I've said before, who is going to buy me a birthday drink?! I'll be 21 again, or 15 on away days I will go. Will see who I can get there too.
  15. I'm in 2 minds about this one. One, he's a human and has accepted the best deal. Which will obviously be more money. But not exactly an ambitious career move. But you can't blame him for that really. Two, he's in effect screwed over the club that gave him an opportunity of playing at a higher level, advanced his game and allowed him to work with experience and learn from them. I still maintain my opinion that he's overrated. And I believe we can do it without him. Enjoy Scotland Chris.
  16. It definitely said senior before. They're changing things to confuse us!!
  17. I've just had it confirmed by a Chesterfield player as well.
  18. Nope. Inside info coming from me father.
  19. I don't have a choice anyway. Nothing would let me get out of this. Got to take dad as well. No more after this though. Yay!!!
  20. But that would mean that it wouldn't be happening now surely? It said breaking news this afternoon. Some of us have more important ways to spend our evening rather than having a date with F5. Like going to watch your little sister dancing in a crappy play..... F5 I'm all yours!!
  21. I had a brief flick through the application files that have now been uploaded onto the Planning pages (http://planning.oldham.gov.uk/planning/acolnetcgi.gov and search for boundary park, 053016/07 is the North Stand plan). It's about 900 pages long!!! But it has stuff in there extracted from Oldham Councils own planning guidance stuff and there is a chunk about how permission will be granted for leisure/sports centre stuff, even if there is local and environmental opposition. See here - http://planning.oldham.gov.uk/AcolnetDocs/...les/51588_1.pdf and go to p.101 onwards. Makes quite good reading actually.
  22. I'm probably going to get abused for this, buuuuuuuuuuuuutt..... why don't you just concentrate on singing songs about Latics rather than slagging off other teams? I know we have hate the scum, but songs should cheer the team on. Songs slagging other teams off are just negative. *Awaits torrents of abuse*
  23. You don't want to know about his form. You should see what he's done to his bathroom in his absence............
