oafc_ok
I've never owned a black cat, if it helps. I think BB80 did at one point though. Not sure what happened to it. Edited September 3, 2008 by oafc_ok
Diego_Sideburns
I've never owned a black cat, if it helps. I think we might have run over a cat once, but it was dark so I don't know if it was black.

help_shiny
yes to: any pre season friendly in Sweden/Norway that time Latics played Bradford City at Odsal Stadium September 1980 vs Sheffield Wednesday eeeeh, that last 'un - that was a day that burns in the memory. If you're after the programme I probably left it on the Chaddy End floor during one of those jolly fun stampedes.

help_shiny
I've got some heavy duty stuff on the Sweden tour but to protect marriages, reputations, employment prospects and whats left of my kneecaps "what goes on on tour, stays on tour" The thing that sticks in my head about the Odsal game is the ref being really camp and blowing Latics fans kisses when they were abusing him as he came off at half time. Sheff Wed - panic, fear, violence, anger, cushions (in no particular order)
Lags
they were quite memorable dates, I was just wondering, seeing if anyone had any interesting tales to tell, I was a bit bored The Liverpool FA Cup match was the first time I was confronted by a knife weilding 70's holigan inside the ground! and guess what the scouse stewards turned a blind eye. Outside the ground, especially Stanley Park where the coaches were parked was airy also with both Liverpool and Everton Holigans. As for the match Latics gave a good account of themselves against what was the best side around at those times. David Shaw scoring into the Kop as I recall. longtimeblue
had a meat pie thrown at me outside Barrow - I remember Ian Dowie celebrating like we'd won the FA Cup while walking down that tunnel next to us, Happy days
slurms mckenzie
Its a bit like that Sex Pistols gig in Manchester where 10,000 people claim to have been there, wheras there were actually about 100. I was at the November 2001 vs Barrow FA Cup replay, happy days, freezing cold wind and Eyresy scoring.
StipeTripe
The thing that sticks in my head about the Odsal game is the ref being really camp and blowing Latics fans kisses when they were abusing him as he came off at half time. Things that stick in my mind from Odsal were, the pitch being like a stale piece if bread with 4 curled up corners. Don Goodman being permanently offside (this being at a time when JR said we didn't play the offside trap merely condensed the pitch) and it kicking off after the match, depending on where one parked one's car, it may have involved a fraught journey back to it, I think InspectorMorose may fall into this category. December 1991 ZDS Cup vs Sheffield United - Yes February 1977 vs Liverpool FA Cup 5th round - No December 1969 FA Cup replay vs South Sheilds - No December 1974 vs Man Utd - No any pre season friendly in Sweden/Norway - No that time Latics played Bradford City at Odsal Stadium - Yes October 2004 vs Brentford - No September 1980 vs Sheffield Wednesday - Yes February 2005 vs Bristol City - No November 2001 vs Barrow FA Cup replay - No Shouldn't 9393 be on that list too? help_shiny
ahhh yes, I forgot about the turned up corners at Odsal. Very odd. I have no recollection of it kicking off but then again I was on the Barlows express - free to flick the v's and then get my nice police escort leaving others less fortunate to brave the car park. The only problem with that HS was when the escort evaporated or was none existent, a couple of 'em I recall. The Barlows getting bricked at Stamford Bridge on the road that takes you back towards Earls Court, not a Copper in sight and being frozen on one where some Reading scrote actually managed to smash a window. Although fortunately not sat in the immediate vicinity of the icy draught it was a long cold drive to Warwick services tho' to pick up a replacement coach.
