Rocky_Latic
That where you work Prozac? Is Chaddy, Bishop and The Witch (Mrs Hobson) still there? Mr Skilling, Mrs Cook the loveable scouser. or Mr Anderson who did drama when I was there. They'd never believe that I was working in a school for a living nowadays. Seeing as my attendance record was shambolic and I went from being a swat in year 7 to one of the biggest little gobsh*tes in the year by the time I left. Fitzpatrick and one or two others go Latics. We dont know if we're off yet. Fingers crossed though. I fancy a lie in till gone 3pm. Edited December 3, 2008 by Rocky_Latic

maddog
No more snow in Bury either. Had to come in to bastard work. Ditto. No snow in Rochdale where I was either, but apparently all but 3 schools are closed in the borough! I have lost my faith in the Met Office, and am rather devastated to be at work today! I have lost my faith in the Met Office, and am rather devastated to be at work today! I never had any faith to start with and am annoyed at myself for believing them this time. When you think about all the hours of weather reports on telly, radio, papers and internet that are nothing more than educated guesses it is a criminal waste of time. They might as well have a few minutes at the end of the news with some bloke saying how he thinks Spurs will do on Saturday. I didn't go to bed time just after midnight and kept looking out of the window to see the snow, never came, had to get up in the night about 4ish, looked out of the window, no snow, finally got up about 6ish, looked out the window expecting to see a reason for a lie in but no, same as yesterday. Yep. Could of been snowing, hailstone, rain or whatever and Skilling would still making you run around the all weather in it. Even if you made up the excuse you'd forgot your kit, you'd be out doing it in your boxer shorts. Nowt's changed then Rocks Eh!!! Havent had a day off me. Unlike that girl 'Meals' who was a no show today. Cant believe there was no snow when I woke up. They shut Kaskenmoor school after one lesson because apparantly it was too dangerous for the kid's to play out? Eh. They never heard of wet breaks. Oh wait, you meant the gobsh*te part Hmm, what was that was said last night. "He's not as cheeky as you Jeff." - Have that.

I lived just up the road from it, one day there was (literally) 4 feet of snow in the street outside, and the school was still open. Granted, I went and told my folks (who were clearly snowed in!) that it was shut

Happy days Edit: 1000th post ... waheyy! The Valley run was class. Prozac. Is Mr Chapman still there? The R.E teacher. Highlight of our year group was when he told two girls they amount to nothing but prostitutes when they grew up. Not the sort of comment you'd expect from someone supposed to be teaching us about God. Jamie Oliver would of had a heart attack if he'd visited that school when I was there. Nothing but Vending Machines or Burger and fries from the year canteen. How I miss that place and being yelled at by Skilling before being picked up by the ears and thrown as far as he could. "You Boy" - Somehow doubt he could get away with that nowadays. Or putting kid's on coat hooks because they refused to have a shower as they "werent gay". Is the Gypo Cabinet still in use? You were lucky if you ended up with the 70's porno shorts if you forgot your kit. Edited December 4, 2008 by Rocky_Latic
leeslover
Without the valley run I probably wouldn't have had the same levels of fundamental fitness that enabled me to return from retirement and play a full match at Northampton without breaking sweat or getting out of breathe. Mr Chapman - we've said it before. AND WHO THE BLOODY HELL WAS SHE TO ACCUSE ME OF FIRING BLANKS? SHE WAS A BLOODY LESBIAN!!!   Edited December 4, 2008 by leeslover
Rocky_Latic
Mr Chapman was a wrong 'un. I wouldnt be suprised if he's on the sex offenders list by now. Miss Ryan drank from the fairy cup. She was my form tutor in year 7.

kellys_discopants
Anyone have Mr Cooper, Art .. the alcoholic. Used to just basically have us sit there for an hour ... with him frequently disapearing to the "art supples" Unfortunately some clown decided to remove all the vending machines from the school .. however, as i was in 6th form we had our own so i wasnt affected After Skillen moved to the unit PE was never the same, as much as he tried, Harrison just isnt as scary ... i remember Skillen hanging some lad from a clothes peg and leaving him there for forgetting or backchat, something along those lines! And on the forgetting kit bit .. the "gypo cabinet" I`m so glad i never had to borrow anything from there!

Man was she scary! Actually, it probably was a man. Do you remember when the garage down the road got done for selling Cannabis Lollies to kids who used to spend their dinner money on them instead. Did anyone like Dr Joy with his Maccy D's eyebrows? I had the misfortune of having him whilst being in his son Paul's form class. It's not suprising who most of the lesson was directed at whilst the rest of us pretty much had to fend for ourselves by reading out of books. No wonder I was useless at Science. Always remember his line to the naughty kids (usually me) - "I'll bounce you" It was either him or Mr Greavy who in the only lesson I can remember of him, nearly blew up the science lab. The science lot didnt have much luck. I remember the one bloke who looked like Jesus, cant remember his name. His wife had commited suicide and I can remember hearing how a lad in the year above had asked how she was hanging. I think he had a nervous breakdown because of the abuse he took from the year above. The poor bugger. Hated detention. usually had to write about Milk or the day in the life of a goldfish. People in there 40's go on about how school's where run in their day and how they got the belt and what not - kid's dont know how easy they get it and all that - but we got kicked to peices by the teachers - (I did in primary as well - Mr Kierans at Sacred Heart with his ping pong bat with the happy and sad face on either side). I'm only 23. I think my year was one of the last few years where that type of the stuff occured at Cuthies as cousins who've come up as since say how Skilling is a psycho, yet he seems calm in comparison to how he was when I was there with what they tell me. I'll tell you what though, you didnt half respect them and it in all honesty, it was class. Skilling loved my year group. Mainly because we had some big lads who meant we won absolutely everything at Uni. One of them's even played in the super league since. Plays for Hornets now. Good enough for Super League, but he's injury prone. Then again. Cuthies used to kick arse in every year group at every sport. Which is why most other schools hated us. Always threats that Baldy or Springhill were gonna come up en masse because they'd got creamed at a rugby game. If so, he used to go over the the Yew Tree for a livener once in a while. Or all the time. The one I really can't stand was Ridgeway. :censored:. Kept me behind after almost every lesson for sod all. He did a seating plan, which involved all the lads around and near him, with the girls shoved at the back! I think he got sacked .. he once took us on a "field-trip" to the pond behind the YewTree, i think he got quite a bollocking for it as he just decided to take us and not bother informing anyone And a big LOL to MrTaylor ... the balding Ass.Head i think .. im sure he was find hiding in a cupboard or something like that and quickly let go .. well, that was the school rumour anyway! it wasnt the garage i think it was that shop on the corner, across the road .. or if it was the garage when you were there the shop quickly followed suit!
