LaticsPete
Ignoring the numpty comment earlier in this thread there are a couple of thoughrs, one good, one bad. Optimistically he'll rise like Lazarus and we're keeping Leicester guessing. Pessimistically achilles injuries can take a long time to heal - remember Lidds' injury? dean 1984
You wonder why people give you nasty responses? True though if another striker happened to get injured too were left with prolific wolfenden and smalley
Jac
True though if another striker happened to get injured too were left with prolific wolfenden and smalley So you're saying you think Davies was 'prolific'???
Latics and England
Leicester is quite close to Coventry. Perhaps he doesn't fancy it! Sky have told Latics that they will not show us live on TV if Hughes plays! He's about to join Doncaster on loan when the emergency transfer window opens! He doesn't want to get cup tied... erm, save that one for next season!

razza699
True though if another striker happened to get injured too were left with prolific wolfenden and smalley Which is a good argument no one would argue with that as its fact. Just the way you word some responses make people re act bad.
BigfinLatic
right then, couldnt give a toss about arguing about what could be with the strikers... we have to work with what we have got... and if Hughes is out there is no bloody way we should be playing 442.... Lewi and Deano IMO couldnt play together, and not what we need agaist Leicester. For me, we have to go 451... obviously changing to 433 when attacking.... Eards... Greegs... Ruubes... Goldy ...... Allott....Whits....Maher Smalley......................Tayls ...............Deano............... Makes us more solid, and doesnt play a second striker just for the hell of it. If it was Deano who was injured I would stick with 442 and bring in Lewi instead, but it aint... so lets play to our strengths... get some pace on the wings, and sure up the midfield... will be mightily hacked off if hughes doesnt play though... just our sodding luck... Diego_Sideburns
Of course Davies was prolific .... more prolific than alot of strikers. Used to be :censored:e but now he's alright!
Diego_Sideburns
Eards... Greegs... Ruubes... Goldy ...... TrikkiNikki
This is so bl**dy typical of Latics, it makes me mad! Shades of previous seasons.
opinions4u
Eards... Greegs... Ruubes... Goldy ...... Allott....Whits....Maher Smalley......................Tayls ...............Deano............... I think so, although Alessandra would learn a lot playing alongside Windass. With the formation you suggest it would be vital to see the pace of Taylor and Smalley coming inside. Earley ... Gregan ... Hazell ... Golbourne ............. Allott ...... Maher .....Smalley ... Whitaker ... Taylor .....................Windass Edited February 5, 2009 by opinions4u

jsslatic
If Hughes isn't fit then I look forward to seeing Deano playing further forward...where he's scored bucketloads through his career.
