dish
I am all in favour about raising money for a good cause, but does anybody think the money should be going to the scoreboard appeal instead? LaticsLegend
I am all in favour about raising money for a good cause, but does anybody think the money should be going to the scoreboard appeal instead? There are more important things in life than a scoreboard. Ridiculous post.

Simpo
I think you're missing the point by quite a wide margin here.
Frankly Mr Shankly
There are more important things in life than a scoreboard. Ridiculous post. Sorry tit cancer. We've taken all your money and have splashed out on a superbig scoreboard so we can show naff adverts to our dwindling crowd of whom, most haven't the slightest bit of interest. Yours, Alan. jsslatic
I am all in favour about raising money for a good cause, but does anybody think the money should be going to the scoreboard appeal instead? I can only apologise to Oh_Johnny_Eyre. OJE: your Ernie post from Saturday is no longer even a remote contender for Most Embarrasing Post Of The Year. Can we have some sort of John McEnroe emoticon for this sort of thing?

While certainly not agreeing with the poster I think some of you are being a tad harsh. The suggestion that Latics should fix their £700k a year loss making business before helping out charities isnt as bad as is being made out. What the poster fails to understand is that doing good stuff like this creates media interest and helps grow the "brand" Edited February 11, 2009 by oafc0000

Prendy_1984
I don't understand why we dont buy a scoreboard. Surely the advertising would generate extra income
