Sneaky from Lambert if that is the case! Could affect Col U's chances imo, they were pretty poor under Geraint Williams but Lambert came in and had them looking like they could be real contenders this year. Sneaky how he's done it but he'll kick major arse at Naarwich. Whether that will be enough it remains to be seen - I still think it'll be a season of transition for the Canaries. Quote
leeslover Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Lambert was always likely to be a manager, he has a bit more between his ears than the average footballer. He must be the only Champions League winner managing at that level. Quote

Frankly Mr Shankly Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Who did he win the CL with? Borussia Dortmund. They had an ace team in the late 90's. Quote
LaticsPete Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Isn't it unusual for the Sun to get it wrong From the BBC Sport website. Rotherham manager Mark Robins is set to be appointed the new manager of Norwich. Full story: The Sun Quote
leeslover Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Borussia Dortmund. They had an ace team in the late 90's. Yep, he was their midfield schemer. He was still able to do a job for Celtic despite not being able to move, sort of like a last season Shez, the quality was still there. Quote
opinions4u Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 (edited) The ginger on TalkSport said Scunny's manager was in contention Lambert quit Wycombe because it was too far from Scotland. Then turned up in Colchester! Edited August 18, 2009 by opinions4u Quote

Frankly Mr Shankly Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Lambert quit Wycombe because it was too far from Scotland. Then turned up in Colchester! To be fair, he's working his way back. I think Mike Newall is sweating a little in Grimsby! Quote

Sneaky from Lambert if that is the case! i don't think it makes any difference. he is still under contract and norwich will either have to agree a payment or it will go to a tribunal Quote
slystallone Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Yep, he was their midfield schemer. He was still able to do a job for Celtic despite not being able to move, sort of like a last season Shez, the quality was still there. IIRC Lambert was the 'midfield engine' for BD; I seem to remember Paulo Souza being the 'schemer'??? Either way, Lambert was class apart; and as someone has said; he's a bright lad too. Think he's another Martinez; destined to manage at the top....... Quote
oafc-latics Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 The downturn of colchester united now. i suppose thats good for latics if we want a chance of promotion as lambert has arranged a team there and had a great start but now him and his staff have gone, jacksons gone to notts county and someone else is wanted i think so they will be mid-table i think. b0ndl1ne Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Anybody know what deal they have Lisbie on? Would be worth an enquiry if we had the funds and were also able to free up a bit of the wage bill. Quote
