Its like reading the editorial of the Daily Mail some of the comments on here.

Some of you lot might get the Tory Government you deserve with 15% interest rates, stripped back NHS, reduced education funding, dismantling of the welfare state and decreased local government funding. The tories "market forces" rhetoric has been shown as redundant and out of date - the market cannot survive on its own without state intervention, it if wasn't for Gordon Brown's intervention, we would have had rioting in the streets mass unemployment, general strikes, huge poverty due to the collapse of the banks.

Hopefully, Labour will adopt some of the Liberal's fiscal policies including a £10K personal allowance and a 50% tax rate for higher earners to pay for it.

Labour brought in the 50% tax rate already..

I think the 10k personal allowance is a great idea.

How easy the labour bunch forget. Labour have 3 times left this country bankrupt and broken leading to IMF intervention and currency collapses. Of course these things happen the months after they had gone leaving the next lot forced to sort the total mess out.

2010 and Labour have left us in the biggest hole we have ever seen and all you can do is Tory bash.

I am no lover of Cameron and think in politics we have a bunch of career freeloaders but there is no denying the socialist labour are a bunch of spend, spend, spend idiots who have recently become far more sinister than ever in their desires to take total control, topped of by their traitorship on European referendum and their disgusting involvement in 2 illegal wars.

And all that is before you even begin to talk about their failed mass immigration policy.

theyre all the same, conservatives wont mess us up like labour did, they will find other ways, all are compulsive liers, the only time you get the truth is if its leaked or too late to do anything about it, doesnt matter who you vote for, all your doing is voting for the person whos going to do you over and how theyre going to do you over

its not paranoia, every week we hear about something they 'forgot' to tell us, or we hear leaked stories of new ways they abuse the system for their own personal gain, or new plans they have to charge us for something that should be paid in our existing taxes

Or could that just be the media reporting things in an ever so theatrical manner which they have had a history of doing for since the year dot....

Corruption amonst politicians has been rife for centuries, as communications, media etc has improved far more of it is now exposed and leaked out where previously it hadn't.

The term "as crooked as a politician" immediately springs to mind.

So you are seriously suggesting we have a corrupt political system ? Total rubbish...

A couple of MPs committed clearly illegal acts and are now being dealt with. The rest of the expenses scandal has been the biggest overreaction to hit our political system in a hundred years.

A couple  Think again.

You're doing your very best to drive people down the opposite political view to yourself, if that's your aim then well done. :chubb:

How am I doing my best to drive people down the opposite political view exactly ?

I have my views... Yours or anyone elses view is up to you... Do I really have that power over you ? wow!

It's your sanctimonious tone that does it for me, everyone is entitled to an opinion, just because it doesn't agree entirely with your's doesn't make it wrong, it just makes it someone else's opinion.

Believe me, the day you have any power over me will be a very cold day in hell.

By the way, Politics is very subjective topic.

In my humble opinion the vast majority of MPs are good passionate people. Even the Tory ones...

There will always be some bad apples...

I tend to agree on individuals. People can become MPs for a variety of reasons, but it's rarely to do with a selfish pursuit of power - that only happens later, once they've had a sniff of it.

I think it's more that the system is corrupt.

Look up rotten boroughs, jerrymandering and fillibustering and tell me, hand on heart, that none of that still happens.

You said I had the power to sway you... Anyway...

I know... That is why you seem to have spat your dummy out...

You talking more about the voting system there ? I would agree it needs changing.

No I didn't go back and have another read, more slowly this time.

Really, I thought we were having a debate, what's up did someone not agree with you?

I yearn for the days just after your 'promised' retirement, great times on here, but alas you were always lurking in the bushes.
