quick summary:

- good start to the league, but we've had good starts before, he's going to enjoy it but not get carried away!

- the fire is a kick in the teeth, we are insured, but loss of revenue will cost the club money

- Lots of rumours re. Investment, we have spoke to John Wardle (meetings, attending games ect.) but he has categorically stated he won’t be investing in the club, its not something he wants at this stage in his life, but has given us useful advice.

- Still open to new investment but if it doesn't come, will struggle along

- Simon blitz still on the phone asking about games ect. but is enjoying his retirement from latics.

- no new news re. failsworth, meetings still ongoing with council, some sort of planning application going in soon. Corney thinks it will get done, but will just take time.

- player share is going well, will help manager out.

- paul always looking for new players, but isn't as demanding as other managers. both paul and corney suprised at the quality of players he's invested from last season. Corney didnt think a few players would have had a future at the club after last season.

- if we carry on the way we are going, more fans will come through the door.

Surely this should be what the fans representative on the board should be taking up, as he is supposed to be the link between the fans and the board. Might also give us an insight into what he does because most of us don't know what that is.

I have long advocated a Barry Blog.

It would be better than seeing Mike Newtons mug up there on that link!

If Barry used a similar style I am sure it woould be welcome. So yes, a good idea glossop, and we have the perfect place for it.

Perhaps somebody should ghost write it for him.

Just to avoid some of the potential undiplomatic comments that may otherwise appear  .

not your best, a bit too much on the personal inadequacies, and not enough on the humour....
