Harry Dowds Green Shirt
Hmmmm! very strange but interesting stats Versus__Last season/_This season/_Cumulative difference +/- Tranmere (a)____________3____3_____0 Notts County (h)_________N/A__-______0 Charlton (a)_____________1____1_____0 Yeovil (h)_______________0____0_____0 Bristol Rovers (h)_________3___1_____-2 Peterborough (a)________N/A___-_____-2 Bournemouth (h)________N/A___-_____-2 Brighton (a)_____________3____0_____-5 Sheffield Wednesday (a)__N/A___-_____-5 Leyton Orient (h)_________3____1_____-7 Brentford (a)____________1____3_____-5 Colchester (h)___________1____1_____-5 Southampton (a)_________1____0_____-6 Plymouth (h)___________N/A___-______-6 Huddersfield (h)__________0___3______-3 Against the seven teams either promoted or relegated last season we took a total of 13 points in 14 games this season to date against the teams new to the division we have taken 10 points from 5 games. Nervous_Tic
I do like these sorts of comparisons If we were to take it further and equate relegated teams with promoted based on last season's league positions, as in: Sheff Wed = Norwich Plymouth = Leeds Peterborough = Millwall --------------------------- Notts County = Gillingham Bournemouth = Wycombe Rochdale = Southend Dag+Red = Stockport It's also worth noting that last season, in the 6 games against the teams that got promoted, we managed an impressive 0 points! Taking games we've played this season against teams new to the division: Gillingham (h)___________3___- Notts County (h)____3 : 0 Millwall (a)______________0___- Peterborough (a)___0 : 0 Wycombe (h)____________1___- Bournemouth (h)___3 : +2 Norwich (a)_____________0___- Sheffield Wed (a)___1 : +3 Leeds (h)_______________0___- Plymouth (h)______3 = +6 So that's 6 more points we've got against teams new to the division compared to the points against teams who left the division, meaning the -3 from your original post becomes a +3. To conclude, this is good

The Chaplain
using the equation d/dy=y*e^3 - 3x where will we finish this season You've forgotten to take account of x = (-b ± √(b*b - 4ac)) ⁄ 2a Trust me I'm a mathematician
opinions4u
I thought the formula was as follows: Better football = 3A - DP + PD - 2A
maddog
It says we're better this season than last season. Hope that helps! I got that was what NT was saying, but not HD. I was maybe struggling to see why they went to the trouble really - we can all see we have improved lots! By watching us play! pukka
Dont be ridiculous that is a quadratic equation giving two solutions for every outcome. Meh!!!!! Anyone can tell it should be the following. ax = -Bu(Cdux - Cl(uz sin(a) - uycos(a) ) ay = -g -Bu(Cduy - Cluxcos(a) ) az = -Bu(Cduz + Clux sin(a)) as also used by MacDonald and Hanzely. Each equation represents the acceleration of the ball in the 3 possible directions: x = down the pitch (always positive) y = vertically upwards (up is positive, down is negative) z = laterally sideways (right is positive, left is negative) B = a constant dependent on the weather conditions u = relative velocity between the ball and the air (i.e. wind) Cd = coefficient of players on pitch which depends on the speed and spin of the ball Cl = coefficient of drag which depends on the skill levels. a = the angle between the vertical and the axis of rotation of the spinning ball g = the acceleration due to gravity = 9.80 m/s2 and who said 87% of statistics are made up.... CALL yourself a mathematician... 88% - You forgot to carry the
