Latics4Ever
Just happened to be curious as to when next seasons fixtures would be released (17 June) and googled it, which in turn led me to the following Coventry City website: http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/8677-Football-league-2011-12-dates-fixtures Clearly a CCFC forum and clearly some of the Sky Blues were not impressed at the prospect of having a fixture on New Years Eve....but then you come to ccfcway's comments that they will get Scunthorpe (Away) - Seeing as Scunny were relegated along with PNE & Sheff U, whilst his idiosy was mildly amusing, I'd love to know how the hell Coventry City will play Scunthorpe either home or away in the league next season!?!?! Also amazed that his comments were posted 3 weeks ago and none of the empty heads there have spotted it and slaughtered the idiot!
Hometownclub
Maybe its like on here, where sometimes the comments are so idiotic that you just read them, smile and move on.
pukka
Hopefully we are at home on new years eve. Hoping for a last game away - hasn't happened for a few years so we are due. (Away at Bury)
Forte_Baby
New Years eve away somewhere decent be good. Take it as a pinch of salt each season someone claims fixtures have been leaked with games picked at random. Although when games where last sceduled for New Years Eve Ferguson tried getting Man U game brought only for it to be refused.

oafc-latics
why is there a new years eve game and not new years day?
rudemedic
why is there a new years eve game and not new years day? NYE is the saturday, although you could be right and games are on NYD, but I doubt public transport will be running much on NYD.
OldhamSheridan
Get Torquay up and stick them on a summer weekend and I don't give a :censored: about any other. What is this 'public transport' you speak of?

Why would the football league be drawing up fixture lists before the teams in each of the divisions have been finalised?
Diego_Sideburns
Latics to play at Stevenage - a new ground, guaranteeing a Daggers-type attendance.
Zorrro
I just hope it's on a date I can attend.
