oafcprozac Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Nope, not the crowd, rocking the place out should be a given and although the atmosphere was electric, I would like to thank the big man upstairs for that torrential downpour midway through the second half, if ever we needed divine intervention to get over the line just as the England Captain strutted out onto BP that was it! God I love our town and its :censored:ty weather! Quote
jbrown23 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 felt sorry for the poor lads at the front of the RRE who sat under the hole in the roof getting piss wet through, but when the heavens opened, someone out there wanted us too win! Quote
Laticacid Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I didn't even notice how wet I was getting, so transfixed on the game. What a cracking day , so proud of the club , have to mention what a player gerrard is, superb in the flesh , not quite good enough to conquer the mighty latics though !!! Quote
Lukers1 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Gerrard is immence, his passion on the touchline was good to see. Quote
Gaz_Oafc Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Gerrard is immence, his passion on the touchline was good to see. He made a massive difference.... just shows how :censored:ed they are without him! Quote
TawnyOwl Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Is it just me who thought that our crowd wasn't 'electric'? From my seat in Chaddy, it was good but has been better on many more occasions. Perhaps it was too many scouse oldham fans not sure where the loyalties lie. Quality devine intervention. Perfect cup game weather. Cheers big dude Quote

At the end we were nervous which caused some caution and not as much singing but for the most part it was very noisy. Our voice will have been quieter than the Scousers but what do you expect when Liverpool have 2500 seats in the RRE and we get 1000+, also with them having a few fans in the RRE too. They're bound to be noisier. Anyway, I couldn't care less about the Scousers, it was our day and our fans made lots of noise. Great atmosphere that contributed to a historic performance. Quote
