AndyGortonsMatches
In the league, 29 matches. Season 1967/68 http://www.statto.com/football/teams/oldham-athletic/1967-1968/results
lookersstandandy
7 losses, then 7 wins on the bounce. What an incredible set of results.
Wozzer
Knocked out of the cups by Barrow and Workington! They got their comeuppance not long after.
lookersstandandy
10 wins on the bounce in 73/74 when Frizzell got us up from the 3rd to the 2nd tier; http://www.statto.com/football/teams/oldham-athletic/1973-1974/results Also, I didn't realise how tight it was going into that last game away at Plymouth on the 3rd May '74, securing a 0-0 draw to sneak ahead of Bristol Rovers whose last game had been a 1-1 draw at home to Brighton on the 27th April '74. We then had to wait another 3 days for Plymouth to play again and beat York City 2-0 on the 6th May '74 and for the top 3 to finish like this; Pos Club P W D L F A GD Pts 1 Oldham Athletic 46 25 12 9 83 47 +36 62 2 Bristol Rovers 46 22 17 7 65 33 +32 61 3 York City 46 21 19 6 67 38 +29 61 Did anyone on here go to that game at Plymouth, must've felt like we'd blown it after not winning, especially with 2 points for a win and a superior goal difference? astottie
Knocked out of the cups by Barrow and Workington! They got their comeuppance not long after. I love the idea of a first round league cup tie going to a second replay. I bet they were beating the gates down to get in

Wozzer
Carlisle Cheers - not quite old enough for that one but I was amongst the tiny crowd that saw us beat Cambridge at Forest 6 or 7 years later!
