Full Time: Yeovil Town 2 Oldham Athletic 1

What was the sending off for??

There was a foul a minute earlier which the ref played advantage for as Yeovil were on the attack. He then waited until the ball went out of play to show Wilson the 2nd yellow. I'd have probably shown him the card straight away as it was a sending off but the ref was probably technically correct.

If it's a straight red there should be no advantage. Not the case for a second yellow it would seem. It would have been amusing if the next break in play had occurred after Yeovil lost possession to Wilson who thundered up the pitch, lashed in a second Latics goal (awarded) and then received his second yellow and subsequent red ...

Amazing how many other teams can either hold out or even win with 10 men and Latics can't .

At least we are predictable -

Can't beat a bottom 4 side

Can't hold out with 10 men

Can't beat a team with ten men .

Barnsley next , 5 wins on the trot , not conceded for 4 games -

nailed on 2-0 Latics !!!

Highlights

Their player is onside for their first and their GK is being fouled, by a player wearing green and white hoops, for our disallowed goal.

Sending off decision looks right too, although I question what would have happened if Wilson had scored after committing the foul.

Worst Winchester goal in a Latics shirt too.

Rules are rules, and Wilson should have been sent off according to them.

But that's a :censored:ty rule. It's like having your cake and eating it. FA Cup Semi a few years ago, Bale scored after Cech had committed a last man foul. Goal counted, no red card. That's advantage. (at 3m23)

The advantage rule is applied stupidly - like vs PNE, they got an advantage, Johnson sliced it out of play, then it got pulled back.

Surely that's not what the rule was made for?

The last man rule doesn't exist - it is for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity and as Bale scored then obviously Cech didn't

Wilson was an idiot.... Got needlessly involved after he pulled a guy back in Yeovils half and then started it giving it the hard man routine and got booked - Deservedly...

The foul on there guy he might have got away with a booking as it was in there half - he's been rubbish for weeks.

We didn't start playing for about 20 minutes they had 3 free headers before we woke up the match started like a friendly until Yeovil realised they could get at us and it was embarrassing that we were in front. Forte did well wide - if Wilkinson is fit he has to start up front and get Forte wide left. Jones was awful for most of the first half get him central or behind Wilkinson. Phili dire again needs benching not even working hard at the moment just trotting at the side of people.

Another frustrating game. For 10 mins of the second half we did OK and got the ball on the floor - but we always looked like we would concede and even if Hayter hadn't scored they probably would have had a penalty. Brown had cleared off the line from him a few minutes earlier so the warning signs are there.

We need to grind out some results badly.

The Philli situation is starting to become abit of a joke now, there's no way the manager could have watched him recently and truly believe that he warrants a place in the starting line up. Would love to see Winchester in that role instead of him!

missed the dissallowed goal...but we had 3 or 4 corners from the side nearest the stand we were sat in and all of them were rubbish, and i can't recollect any from the other side other than this one which looked a decent delivery....ahh well ..just saying

It might just me but does anyone else think Jones can only take a good set piece if its a direct shot???

If he tries to cross from a free kick it seems to go out of play and out of about 8 corners on Saturday he managed to produce 1 possibly 2 decent ones. Can no one else have a go?
