BP1960
Latics number6 Foster probably had the best first team debut I've seen, but sadly never reproduced that form and soon returned home to Ireland.
BP1960
Glackin can't play - too old, Sheridan and Scholes are subs. Latics centre back Fester must be about 6'5".
BP1960
Latics early chance, but Bury playing some neat football. Latics big keeper O' Neil saves well. Giant centre back Fester winning everything in the air.
BP1960
Great long through ball from Fester, tall striker Brad Kay slices wide.

BP1960
Latics 2 up..pen by Kay, great to see 2 wingers, one up and down midfielder and an attacking midfielder. Some big lads in this Latics team, 5 look over 6'2" and all decent. Edited November 1, 2016 by BP1960

Dave_Og
There's a player called Wealth Da Silva on the Bury bench. Fantastic!
BP1960
HT: Latics 2 Bury 0. Latics more direct and physically stronger, Bury not out of it playing some good football and creating chances. All playing well, Latics stand outs so far centre back Fester, tall elegant midfielder Rory Middleton and left winger Ronaldo Brown. O'Neil looks another who could progress like the last 2 youth keepers. Edited November 1, 2016 by BP1960
BP1960
2nd half..great 40 yards break by Ronaldo, sets up Uche, but Bury keeper saves well.
BP1960
Have to say Bury's number 10 Dai looks a fine prospect.

BP1960
Good stuff. Isn't he called Festus? Which side has Glackin been bagging for? NW alliance youth team, but not eligible for the FA Youth Cup.
ChaddySmoker
Latics win 2-0. Fester the pick for me. If he gets into the first team there should be no debate over what music we run out to! Thanks for the reports BP Edited November 1, 2016 by ChaddySmoker
BP1960
If he gets into the first team there should be no debate over what music we run out to! Thanks for the reports BP I thinks he's 16yo, but has the build of a man mountain now. Quite composed, not slow and decent on the ground too. I hope he comes good. The keeper O' Neil also looks a prospect, in the mould, but taller than the last 2 youth keepers we sold. The problem now is as we know any youth showing promise will be quickly cashed in. bigfatjoe1
Latics win 2-0. Fester the pick for me. Go on. You set 'em up....uncle Fester. Well, it's like a horror show at BP. Still, well done boys.
bigfatjoe1
Latics no 9 sounds promising...City's no 10 too... Ronnie...true legend. Hard. Very hard. not in the same way as your no.9 and no.10. Yet, not dirty. And no clogger. My mate played left back for the school. He was an Arsenal fan, but after i took him to Oldham he decided to model himself on Ronnie. Ronnie looked 53 when he was 23...or was that me being (very) young?
