Fane is currently on 3 Y/Cards. The 2 he received against Shrewsbury do not count in the totting up process for a one game ban. - Rule is IF a player is yellow carded and then given a straight red later in the game then he will receive a ban for his red and the yellow will count towards the tot up rule. IF a player receives 2 yellows in a game the subsequent red card will lead to a one match ban but the yellows will NOT count towards the tot up rule" Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The initial tackle was clumsy and perhaps a yellow would have been harsh but, once on the ground, he lifted his leg to trip the Scunthorpe player and definitely deserved the second yellow, IMO.
