Playoffs 22/23

Recommended Posts

The following predictors will battle it out in this year's playoffs:

Championship:

@Stevie_J

@Dave_Og

@Dick_Valentine

@DavidCollinge

League One:

@rosa

@alien

@futchers briefs

@JohnG123

So the playoff fixtures look like this:

Championship:

@Stevie_J v @DavidCollinge

@Dave_Og v @Dick_Valentine

League One:

@rosa v @JohnG123

@alien v @futchers briefs

The fixtures you'll be predicting are:
1st leg - Notts Co v Boreham Wood - Sunday 7th May, 1230pm
2nd leg - Chesterfield v Bromley - Sunday 7th May, 330pm

You each need to submit predictions for the corresponding fixtures above (both legs).  This will be submitted in the old school style by posting your predictions in this thread (not to be submitted or edited after 10 mins before the first stated kick-off time).  You should include an attendance as part of your prediction.  Since Latics narrowly missed out on the playoffs, first scorer predictions will be for the first scorer of the game, not for a particular team as with Latics fixtures.

The winning players will then play off in a final, by predicting the outcome of the National League playoff final, the winner of which will be promoted.

Predictions for all playoff fixtures are for the 90 mins, not extra time or penalties.

In the event of a draw in the final, the winner will be determined by the closest attendance prediction, then by total points scored in the playoffs, then by previous attendance predictions if still level.

Think the results are as follows:

Championship:

@Stevie_J v @DavidCollinge

First leg (Notts): 0-1

Second leg (Chesterfield): 0-1

@DavidCollinge wins 2-0 on aggregate

@Dave_Og v @Dick_Valentine

First leg: 1-0

Second leg: 3-3

@Dave_Og wins 4-3 on aggregate

League One:

@rosa v @JohnG123

First leg: 0-0

Second leg: 1-1

1-1 on aggregate, so we go to penalties! rosa was 648 out on the attendances, john 1879. @rosawas closest overall, so goes through to the final!

@alien v @futchers briefs

First leg: 0-1

Second leg: 0-1

@futchers briefs wins 2-0 on aggregate

The finals will be:

Championship: @DavidCollinge v @Dave_Og

L1: @rosa v @futchers briefs

The playoff final kicks off Saturday 13th May, 1530 - predictions due by 1520 at the latest!
