There's no way he would leave nine days after the offence. Nah, that sort of thing happens up and down the country on a daily bass at all levels of the game. If you have played the game at any level surely you will have seen that sort of thing. Normally it is dealt with in house and players kiss and make up. Just the high profile occurences of Dyer and Bowyer & Hartson and Berkovic bring it into the public eye. I think Shez has realised Ricketts is not the man he thought he was signing, instead we got a lazy half-arsed has been who had neat touches but brought little if anything to the team. OWTB has a user agreement in place and anyone deemed to be breaching them will be dealt with buy the Moderating team accordingly. Obviously, whatever has happened must have been a big enough issue for Shez to offload him. Hope Kyle's allegations in that post about other players aren't well-founded because, if true, they would affect the team's performance. I know Chris Taylor and know for a fact that the allegations about Ricco lamping him are totally untrue..... Would be ironic, as that's what happened when he played at Bescot/Banks's stadium, with the home fans booing him. Wouldn't he still be employed by us? If this were the case could he play against us? Coz there are many who can see that Ricketts isn't the useless, lazy piece of that others have painted him out to be and it'll be heavily discussed for a long time. As far as I'm concerned at the moment, it's an utterly bizarre decision and not one of us has any of the facts. Other than a player has been signed to our club in one of the biggest gambles ever in all honesty, on one of the biggest contracts we've probably ever given. Taking up a very large amount of the budget in the process and costing us to lose players from last season, we all know would've kept this side moving in the forward momentum it was! Something has to come out in the wash over this...either Ricketts is being massively used as a convenient scapegoat and something is seriously rotten inside the club at present! Or something else is going on....coz it can't be down to his footballing abilities this....not after he was the only one who was producing vs Northampton (the 2 best chances, where he slipped Davies 1 on 1 and his header which their keeper knew nothing about when he saved it) and not after the fact that our service has been shocking to him and Davies this season. Scapegoat reaction? Kneejerk decision? To be dropped, then exiled in such fashion says there's a hell of a lot to come out about this....and if it doesn't, then in my mind, something's severely rotten inside our club somewhere at present! And had we wanted rid, we'd be exercising the right to terminate his contract also, if it were true. Not waiting for 2yrs 7mths for it to run out or till when we decide to pay him up.
