  1. I've got that question written down. The player we brought in used to play for his dad at Yeovil so it's a very valid question.
  2. If he became our next manager, that would be the end for me. I'd hand my season ticket back and wouldn't go back again.
  3. Just watched it on the iPhone app. Defo shouldn't be on there yet as he talks about the Forest game in the past tense. Oops.
  4. For all our huffing and puffing we didn't really create much and Dickov looked happy when we had equalised. Donny were average at best, but still scored more, and created more than us with the little possession they had.
  5. I can't see what these players do during the week. What are we good at? We managed to string more than 2 passes together today, that was a positive. But I'm sorry I want more than that. We get the ball wide and put very poor crosses in. No pace from the runner to get to line, just easy floated balls. Donny showed how it should be done, they didn't have as many chances but the quality of ball in was far better than ours. We played 10 minutes of the first half with no striker. How would that make you feel as a striker sat on the bench. When the striker does come back on he tires and then runs like Shrek. Still no replacement. Defensively we look ropey from set pieces, we have done all season. We also give away far too many cheap free kicks. We are just crap. Drove 200 miles to see that dross from overrated players and a manager who couldn't manage a Pokemon collection.
  6. Dickovs comments from Sky Dickov said: "We started well and got the goal, but then we got done by a penalty and a quick break. Up until that point we had coped with them quite well. "At half-time we told the players to tighten up a bit defensively and we were confident we could get something out of the game. We had chances and balls cleared off the line, but with one break we found ourselves 3-1 down. "We were looking to score the equaliser and try and get back in the game but one slip has let them in. "We've been beaten 4-1 but I think we should have taken something out of the game. It's a strange one, but the goals we conceded were really poor. "I think we had plenty of chances to win the game, but defensively when you are putting all of the pressure on, you need to think the worst. We didn't do that on four occasions and paid for it."
  7. Couldn't agree more. Great team performance, energy, pride and passion.
  8. Right, I'm with you now. It was the corner and subbing incidents that peed me off. You didn't mention anything about these in your original post. I thought they were a Taggert / Dickov cock up. If you and the rest of the paddock think It wasn't them I'll shut up.
  9. Huh? Not sure who I've disagreed with, I said fair points and ill take it from somebody who was sat closer.
  10. All fair points, I'll take it from someone who had a ringside seat. Let's hope this improvement continues.
  11. Lags, totally understand and appreciate your point. It was a fantastic display and I enjoyed the performance from start to finish. Just trying to add a bit of perspective, the players excelled, the management team were poor. Just my opinion.
  12. I thought the exact opposite. They looked even more unprofessional than usual. First half we had the farce over who should be marking at corners. For the first two or three corners there was clearly a Preston player who wasn't being marked. The players shouted over to the bench, who just didn't seem to give any help to the players other than just looking a clipboards. Then in the second half, Croft clearly wanted to come off and had been signalling to the bench and pointing at his leg. Our management team decide to ignore this and replaced Montano. The win today showed what the team can do. Shame we don't have a management team that can get the best out of them on a weekly basis.
  13. If Dickov would have had any balls he wouldn't have been on the pitch second half so wouldn't have missed it. His confidence looked shot all through the game, his body language said he didn't want to even be on the pitch. Another Dickov mistake that has cost us points. Weirdly everything that is good about the team is down to Dickov. He has built a very strong squad that on paper is excellent. It's just a real shame he is such a poor man manager and tactician. He should consider a job in sales or as one of these 'technical director' roles.
  14. On the post match interview on Laticsplayer Gordon asks why M'voto was up front and Smith was defending so I think you've got a point. Dickov responds by saying it was a passage if play following a long throw and everyone was back.
  15. I'd say offside from that picture. The keeper is clearly ahead of Simpson. So that leaves 2nd defender in the picture who looks to be slightly ahead too. It's very close though.
  16. Very sad news. I also saw him on TV and thought he was a very brave lad. Didn't know he was a Latics fan. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.
  17. Hi Dave, should be seats left. You can now ring the Chron Office to book tickets - 0161 633 2121.
  18. Just asked him and he said his coaches should be leaving from outside the chron office between 17:00 and 17:30. An advert should be going in the chron at some point this week.
  19. Try Swans Coaches on 0161 681 0999. I posted the other night that my brother in law is running coaches to the game at really good prices. He also has smaller mini coaches so give him a bell.
