The young lad I saw get chucked out deserved it. He was drunk and acting like a plank. I'd go the other way and say the police weren't strong enough. They should have chucked his mates out too. Some of the crap coming out of their mouths was unbelievable. Some of our fans are just scum, and really let the club down.

agree with most of that apart from Lee being very good. I thought he was our worst player and looked scared of the ball. He also kept getting drawn inside rather than staying out wide. But that's what happens when you play CMs on the wing. There were some good points and bad points to take from the game. Penney made some craking comments. Early in the first half I heard him shout "don't kick it pass it" which is good to hear. Second half though when their lad was down injured just after their second goal he had an opportunity to rally the troops. The players all came over to take in some water and he just looked really pissed off and stood with his hands on his hips. His body language just screamed anger. I also thought his subs where very poor and actually made us a poorer team. We need to sort the defence or bring other people in. It is plain to see that Gregan, Hazell and Brill isn't going to work. Hope their player is OK, didn't look good though. Their fans where a credit to the team though.

Good balanced post. I agree with a lot of what you say. Between the 3 off them there is a complete lack of confidence. Something needs to change for us to have a decent season. Brill hasn't done himself any favours in the friendlies so far, not many positives to take from any of the displays as yet. I have only counted 2 saves of note in all the friendlies I have seen so far (I missed Mac and Sunderland though). I can also see peoples comparisons with Day too. Are Greegs and Hazell making Brill look bad with their performances. Or is Brill making them look bad. One thing I am confident in is that Penney is a good manager and will get this sorted this week one way or another. At the minute my opinion is we need a new keeper and a new CB to at least push the current 3. We have options all over the pitch except for these 3 positions and it shows.

TBH I doesn't matter to me what you do, why post that on here other than to massage your own ego? The fact that you've put that up there shows to me that you're obviously more bothered about job titles than the job you actually do. For me it doesn't matter what you do as long as you enjoy what you are doing and apply as much effort as possible each day. You came across as the 'big I am' in your post yesterday and it really pissed me off. I don't usually get pissed off like that, as you can see from the amount of times I post on here. I could say you're a typical sales guy all front and no substance , but that would be forming an opinion of you by your job role and not you as a person. I don't know you from Adam, but it takes some kind of special person to jump on a thread wishing somebody luck in their new job and say what you said. The thread was called "Best of luck Stu!" if you hadn't noticed. So I'm basing my opinion about you on your actions yesterday. You are entitled to your opinion but I personally believe you are very wrong and I'm entitled to put my point across too. Even after reading your explanation above, you're wrong. You either posted that yesterday to get a reaction, which you have achieved but not very classy to do it on a thread of this sort. Or you just enjoy being the odd one out and like to be a bit different, again same logic applies not really good form to do it on this kind of thread.

For a fella who thinks writing on the internet is easy, you're not very good at it. Don't make this personal you say, you have right to an opinion like everyone else. Then in the same sentence you include (due to personal experience) and finally - I don't see it personally. Can you make this a little clearer please? Do you want to make things personal or don't you? So you don't rate the guys output because of personal experience. Is that a personal experience you have had with Stu's work on the website or some chat you had in a pub with a guy who built a website for a friend? If you are going to jump on a thread where people are wishing luck to somebody who is leaving, and then say that you don't rate them. At least have the balls to back it up with something, rather than just a gut feeling. Personally I think you're just a tosser, not trying to seem too personal, but i have met 2 people called Rick before. and they were both tossbags.

Sorry but you're being really disrespectful to somebody who has put a lot of time and effort in to his job. I don't know what you do for a living but I'm pretty sure that you don't put the time, effort and skill into your job. By you saying that you 'don't think the job was particularly challenging' is more of a slur on you than him, because you are obviously talking out of your backside. Anyway good luck Stu and all the best for the future, you'll be missed. Hopefully there will be someone out there who can do the job with as much enthusiasm.

So first of all it was ... if he wasn't called Joe Royle but had the exact same record I doubt anyone would want him. Now it's pointless naming anyone because none will stand up to his record. and you want recent success. Make your mind up.

I was at the dogs night too, and I was sat very close to where Hughes was shouting ANARCHY. You might be right but I honestly thought he was shouting ANAKIN as in the star wars character to Taylor. Taylor was looking down and waving back to him. I just thought at the time that it was Hughes nick name for Taylor. We'll have to wait until the film is released to find out what really happened, but I didn't see anything other than a bit of fun on the night.

I have massive respect for TTA and think they are doing a great job. They made a tough decision to sack Shez, but ultimately it will turn out to be the right decision in the long run. JR has got the opportunity now to assess the squad before the end of the season and get rid of the dead wood before next season. He has ruffled a few feathers over the past few weeks, but we have been crying out for this all season. Stale performances and back chat to the manager where becoming all to familiar. Shez was too close to the players to sort it out and that was his downfall. JR has between now and the end of the season to instill a bit of respect back in to the players. We all want and expect different things and have massively different expectation levels. Some believe we have given up on promotion others think we can still make it. For me if we can get to the end of the season with a set of players who go out and wear the shirt with pride and passion then JR will have succeeded. One thing is clear so far, JR is not afraid to make the tough calls Shez couldn't or wouldn't do. During the close season JR will be using all his contacts to bring in good young talent that want to play football. JR has trusted friends in high places and that is a massive thing to have for a manager at this level. If we can keep JR as manager in to next season then we will be going in to the season with by far the most experienced manager in the league, with trusted premiership contacts who will want to help him out. If TTA can pull that off and make that happen then we can't really knock them. Keep the faith.

I fear we would have got another tonking if Shez would have been in charge today. I hate to say it, but he has got a lot to answer for. Joe has got a tough job clearing up his mess. I'm sure he'll do it though, and I've much more faith in him than Shez.

That girl put more in to her challenges than some of our players today. She also had a better throw than them. I hate to say it but that was the highlight of the game for me. The number 11 scored 2 great goals and set one up with a back heel. His performance was worth the entrance fee alone! (almost)

Fair point fella, but the original point said some of the blame must go to Tommy as coach and I agree. What do the lads train on. Set pieces are poor and our throw ins are a disgrace. Things all seem very stale.

To be honest I do hold Shez responsible. I hold him massively responsible. His mis-management could be seen all over the park today. I felt sorry for him last week. Today I didn't. It's going to take a lot of work by Joe or whoever takes over next year to undo the problems Shez had left us with.

Spot on mate. Feel very much the same. I wouldn't care if he got rid of any of that shower. The second half of the season has seen a massive downturn in effort and industry. Shez has got to take some responsabilty for that. I feel his management has left the club in a bad way. Tommy and Dux can be shown the door for me too. Let's start again.
