  1. Boundary Blues are running an away trip to Bristol Rovers on Saturday 12th September. Prices are members £13, non-members and parents / guardians £23. Price includes return coach travel and a match ticket. Leaves at 9.30am, tickets can be bought from The Latics Shop. We also need a Boundary Blues member to be a mascot on the day, you do not need to be travelling on the coach to be the mascot.
  2. Very very very jealous of you!!!
  3. Yes but it has to be an away tin hat so it all matches!!!!
  4. If any Boundary Blues members are going to Millwall and want to be the match mascot, please can you email boundary.blues@oldhamathletic.co.uk or send me a pm before the end of this week. Thanks :-)
  5. Tomorrow they'll have to use the current ones as no Wilkinsons have enough in stock to go and buy them!!! So, you'll have to wait until the next home game for the great unveiling of the new stools
  6. Good idea but that's a potty training step thing!!!
  7. Would be nice but these are being paid out of Boundary Blues funds and not club funds!! Although I think the Boundary Blues staff should get those :-)
  8. Our ball boys at BP need some new stools to sit on and I can't find any so I need you lot to come up with some ideas / suggestions on where I might be able to buy some from! They currently have this type of thing http://www.bigdug.co.uk/clearance-c18/plas...-and-store-p106 but just the black bit, not the red storage bit!!! They need to be low enough so that they don't obstruct anyone's view but a decent height for them to be comfortable. They also need to be nice and cheap because we have to buy 12 of them. I've looked on Amazon, Tesco, Asda, Argos, Ikea Any help?!!
  9. They are in Spindles from 1 until 3 this afternoon. I think the famous Ackey is also there!!!
  10. As you walk up Sheetfoot Lane after a particulary rubbish game, look up at the hospital and spare a thought for all those babies fighting for their lives in the special care baby unit (SCBU). Our son was in there after he was born, not for long, but many of the babies are there for weeks, gradually moving up rooms and getting closer to the outside world. I used to stand at the windows that overlook Boundary Park and tell him that one day I would take him there. We were lucky and less than a week later I was able to take him to his first game but some of the babies and families are not so lucky. So, when Latics have lost to a goal that's come about by a defensive error and you are complaining whilst walking away from the game, look up at those windows and remember it's only a game :-)
  11. There is a section on the website under 'fans' but to be honest it doesn't get updated as often as we'd like it to be. There is a noticeboard in the club shop but obviously you are only going to see that if you actually go into the shop!! You can get in touch with me on here, or, PM me. We also have an email address boundaryblues@oldhamathletic.co.uk but we are dependant on someone at the club looking and forwardind those onto us. Also, we are around every match day sorting out ball boys and mascots so just shout at us!! We try to produce 3 newsletters a year, August, November and April. Sometimes we will ask the club to put announcements on the website regarding away travel and parties, we also ask the chron to put items in on a Tuesday for us. Most of the season tickets are now available to collect unless you have renewed in the last couple of weeks. If you want me to check them PM me the name and I'll have a look that it's been renewed/processed.
  12. Simply due to demand! I think there used to be over 1,000 members when they used the QEH but now with approx 300, the demand just isn't there. The 2 parties we do a year are normally well attended and sell out but we nearly always make a loss on them so to use the QEH would cost us a fortune!
  13. A BB season ticket is £50 and gets you into the Chaddy or Rochdale Road stands, away trips at massive discount prices, a free gift, chance to be a mascot, Christmas and end of season parties at discounted prices, birthday card, newsletters, and chance to be a ball boy. If you don’t want to buy a season ticket then kids can be member of BB for £10 and you get all the benefits just without the season ticket. As long as you are 16 or under on 31s December 2009 then you can apply for one. You will need to take proof of age to the ticket office and it will take a few days to get the ticket back as they are not processed by the ticket office staff. Thanks Lisa
  14. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ort/8140162.stm Gary Ablett?!
  15. Singe, BB is for kids 6-16, for the younger kids there is Chaddys Gang, I think it is £10 to be a member of Chaddys Gang and you get a free gift along with a Christmas party and a certificate of membership!
  16. There are currently a few ideas in the pipeline for getting kids trough the turnstiles. If anyone has any good ideas then let us know, they will certainly be looked in to. Incidentally, we have had approx 40 new Boundary Blues season tickets issued this year. It may not sound like much, but, last season we had 320 BB season ticket holders so 12.5% new uptake is quite good!! A BB season ticket gets you into the Chaddy or Rochdale Road stands, away trips at massive discount prices, a free gift, chance to be a mascot, Christmas and end of season parties at discounted prices, birthday card, newsletters, and chance to be a ball boy. If you don’t want to buy a season ticket then kids can be member of BB for £10 and you get all the benefits just without the season ticket.
  17. Boundary Blues supply ball boys for first team fixtures and reserve fixtures when they have a 7pm kick off. Some reserve games and youth fixtures will take place during the day or Saturday mornings. We do not supply ball boys for these games as the lads will be at school or often have other activites going on, a few of them have football training themselves on a Saturday morning. Also, the boys have to have a Boundary Blues staff member with them and we are not always available. Hopefully with the reserve games coming back next season, we will have a few more games and can get more lads involved. As for the lounge, this season we have really missed it. It was good that the members could go into the lounge before the game and at half time, it was a safe place for them to play whilst parents went for a drink etc. We had built the lounge up over the last couple of years and had spent alot of money on new playstations, board games, table football etc we had also decorated the walls with football memorabelia from other clubs. It was a good place to bring fans of other clubs when we did the ticket exchange and the tuck shop was a good source of income for us. Unfortunately, the space is just not available within the club at the moment to have a lounge and Boundary Blues funds are not big enough for us to hire in a portakabin for a season, plus that comes with other issues!! We are hoping that we can come to some arrangement with the club to have something in place for next season.
  18. I want to know, what happened to the balloon?!!
  19. Thanks for including the £50 kids ticket on there! :-)
  20. Ian Holloway would be entertaining if nothing else. Strange to see Paul Ince up there, but I mentioned to someone this morning that it'd be a young manager who'd been a player, someone in the mould of Paul Ince but not him!!!
