  1. The stand will not stand sparse - im sure looking at the design it can be seen that there is space afforded for a Gym and up to 3 commercial units? Given that committed resource will be needed to occupy said units along with the recent NHS new site deal, im sure a lot of the £4 million will be found. A stand with new facilities located near Manc and the M62 will be looked at by investors and companies looking for new sites.
  2. yes lack of £80 million for a new stadium New stand will be just under £4 million.... The plans should be approved soon and work start before the Summer begins
  3. How long would you give Dowie, contract wise for the job? Personally, i'd give him 2.5 years with a £250,000 bonus to get us promoted.... Promotion would be worth £4 million plus to the club
  4. Penney had a great interview sold himself very well and ticked all the boxes !!! Proof most people can blah interviews We need experience nothing more nothing less
  5. Sammy lee hasn't got the experience we need to get out of a relegation battle and how many would he put on the gate ? Dowie on the other hand ! Experience from palace and Hull and IMO would add hundreds to the gates for the rest of the season
  6. What would Sammy Lee bring to the club right now ?? Answers on a stamp !!
  7. Barry Owen will be releasing a statement about this in due course.
  8. I have a complete collection of home and away programmes from 1994-95 - until last season including almost every friendly played in UK along with Testimonial games ! Most of the programmes are in folders - looking for serious offers !! Money from this will go to the boundary Blues and PlayerShare.
  9. Pete Wild in the programme shop and his brother are the people you need to speak to about this ! They and a few others know the Germans very well
  10. If anyone has any questions about the donations or ways they could help please feel free to email the same account for donations Owtb.co.uk@gmail.com Thank you one and all.
  11. Thanks everyone so far - the site is ok for Feb but the amount of traffic visiting Owtb in feb and march with all the debate going on is high so any further donations is appreciated !
  12. Im sure if there isnt another signing today we will get another player(s) next week once the loan market opens
  13. Thanks to everyone who has donated - £50 indeed has been donated, a great gesture that is too. On match days I do give sweets to the Children of the Chaddy end in the Tuck shop but unlike Jimmy Saville I charge them 50p !!! If donations are given on match days in the Tuck shop can you tell me its for OWTB so it doesnt get mixed up with the Boundary Blues.
  14. Many thanks for the donations so far. We will now be able to ensure Feb is interruption free !! With PayPal and fees associated if you do wish to donate please send via payment to friends or family so PayPal transfers for free. Charges are made when receiving money on PayPal.
  15. Just had a call from the club Lots of fans have been there all day doing a great job but they are tired. The club are putting the flood lights on as they believe there is another 4 hrs work needed to have a chance of the game being on ! If anyone can spare a few hours the club would massively appreciate more fans to go down and help ! If you can please help out !!
  16. due to the usage spike, owtb was taken off line by the server provider. We received the following notice we have had to temporarily suspend your site as it was killing this server, there is either something misconfigured or some issues with your site causing this extreme resource usage, however at this time we are afraid we have had to suspend it.
  17. charitable donation would enable VAT and taxable gross to be deducted ..... done in the right way? any accounts about?
  18. Harry I was thinking the donation would be within the ticket price. I know the accountant wont thank me but if final revenue can substract sold tickets at 96p per ticket. This can then be donated to the appeal. The club would then send money to the charitable account as a donation. Paperwork but worthwile I think? two have said no ! Anyone care to say why? (not a dig just for feedback)
  19. The question is. Would you be happy to pay an extra 96p to the cost of your match ticket what ever it is, if the money was donated to the JFT96 Appeal? Not only would this be fantastic PR for the club, it would be another way for the appeal to keep in the public eye and for all fans attending to help in a small way.
  20. First tickets given out this week http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/20121021-owtb-437939.aspx Thanks to everyone that's donated
