I get the point you're making but as long as a striker is scoring goals then i don't see a problem. Before he joined he'd not played for a month, needs time to get match fit and gel into a new team, in a new league. The brace will give him confidence and I'm hoping he continues to score and gives Wellens a tough decision to make when Doyle comes back.

Doyle has ruined us all, any other season we'd be welcoming our new messiah. The two goals on Saturday he created all on his own, class. He'll be starting until Doyle's back which gives him a month to get match fit/sharp. Who's to say Doyle will be able to take his spot if he's in good form? Maybe leave discussing whether they can play together until we've actually seen them play together

The way I see it is they abandoned their club because they didn't agree with things happening at the club like ticket prices etc. Its the premier league, get over it. Your club did not get moved 100 miles up the road. You are not AFC Wimbledon They could have decided to support another team in the local area (Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Burnley, Blackburn, Bolton, Accrington etc) in protest but instead decided to form a club and leech off the popularity of one of the biggest clubs in the world. The last thing the north west needed was another football club. All the "supporters" who jumped on the FCUM bandwagon have been waxing lyrical about the atmosphere, good football and a great day out etc like its somehow different from any other club. These are the same fans that would claim all football outside of the top 4 premiership was shit before FCUM. What happens if they get to the premiership and ticket prices go up? Rearrange the team name and create another club?

I was recently asked why I hated a club because of their fans, to me a club IS its fans. The only club I hate for being a club is MK Dons. I hate United because i grew up around Bury where 95% supported United and the majority were twats. Got on well with Bury, City and Bolton fans because you could actually have a conversation about football rather than get told how amazing they were. I have a dislike for Leeds (who doesn't) and FC United of Manchester because there is no reason why that club should have been formed. The only rivalry we've had of late has been Bury and Rochdale, although its never felt like much of a fierce rivaly
