  1. Sounds like someone at that shitrag has an agenda and is trying to cause some upset the day before our big game. I hope AL sues them
  2. Unfortunately its in Wellens hands.
  3. Stop horsing around now fella's, back to serious discussion
  4. His first 10 games were brilliant, good results and great football, the club had a feel good factor about it. I thought it would return when certain players came back into the fold but it hasn't and we are staring down a barrel. If he can't get us playing well again this season then can we really afford to gamble on next season? He was never really in the running for the job in the first place but those first 10 games got him the job, they seem like such a long time ago now
  5. Lost his first game vs Portsmouth i think? Lost his first game at Doncaster and then lost at home to Portsmouth That was when our game got called off due to the frozen pitch and i watched his son lose at Rammy United too
  6. This is why I'd like to see Nazon start alongside Doyle. With Nazon running at opposition defences and creating space then this should open space up for Byrne to run into and make its easier for Doyle. I was frustrated for him coming off the bench Saturday because he didn't have much hope of doing anything vs their defence sat deep in the snow. I'd like to see us try 3 at the back but I don't think we have the players for it. It seems such a long time ago since the outstanding performance vs rovers at home. A brilliant performance as a team and Davies held the ball up well and won everything that was punted up to him and quickly received support. Movement in recent games has been poor, we seem to lack urgency and ideas going forward. Whats the problem? teams figuring us out? We've played well when Byrne has been given the space to control the game but that's not happened much since then, he's closed down quickly but surely we can exploit this? We know we can pass through teams with short passes and 1-2s, whats changed?
  7. Placide was a revalation when he first got into the team but since christmas his head has gone. His distribution was by far his strongest point and even that's been very poor lately, I don't know what he was thinking on Saturday. So many goals conceeded where he's wrong footed, rooted to the spot. I like the guy but I'd take Ripley every day of the week, 17 clean sheets for a team fighting relegation is amazing, especially at his age and with his age he can only get better with experience.

  9. Confirmed on fishul https://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/2018/march/15032018-walsall-match-postponed/
  10. The duck might be useful coming off the bench running at tired defences. For me his "wayward" shot seemed to take a slight deflection in the highlights which nobody seems to have mentioned. I'd be happy with any 2 of Davies, Doyle or Nazon. I think Doyle has to start now he's fit, would be interesting to see him paired with Nazon. McEleny off the bench for the last 30, too much of a gamble to start him as he's still adjusting
  11. Club should arrange free overnight camping with a ticket to keep the main stand shadow warm
  12. I get the point you're trying to make but if a player is tiring having a large section of the crowd cheering you on is going to have an effect, pushing them to make that extra effort. I know they're professional footballers etc etc and shouldn't need it but it definately helps. When we're on the back foot in a game and you can sense the crowd getting nervous and murmurings around the ground you can't say that doesn't transfer on to the players the same as if the crowd are creating a positive atmosphere. As much hate as the drum gets at times I've felt it does a good job at masking those murmurings which might effect the players.
  13. When I was in there after the game I asked what did they think of the game, they looked at me like I was speaking swahili with 2 heads. I said I was Oldham but lived in Bury most of my life and was just looking for their take on it, they said we'll let you off because you live here.... a minute later some kid ran in saying theres some Oldham down the road and the lot of them piled out the door... bizarre
  14. It will likely be on in the knowsley, across the road from bus station this is where the "hooligans" hang out as i think its the only place they're not barred from... not that any of them are old enough to drink
  15. Get a taxi, get dropped off at the ground and get it to do laps of Bury until the match is over and get picked up at the ground
  16. Wasn't any option to choose, all it said was my ticket was 1280. No option to print either so £1 for postage Surely when these sell out Bury will realise repairing the damage blackpool did is financially viable to sell more tickets and have pay on the day (if the rozzers allows that)
  17. I just ordered one 30 mins ago, had to search around for Bury tickets (they don't appear in "away tickets") and then had to select "Seated" for any tickets to show up. All in all a bit of a pish poor site
  18. I'll have to disagree with that, we've looked far more solid with Bryan and Gerrard/Clarke Don't forget the reason we shipped out Clarke was to free up wages to strengthen in other areas. We only needed one of Gerrard or Clarke and I thought it made sense until Gerrard took a knock but the rest should have him right now. We'll know if its the right decision come the end of the season
