  1. I think the signing of Spanish Marc could be crucial, haven't seen him play but by all accounts it sounds like he can sit off and hold the midfield, allowing Furman to attack. I noticed that Furman had to run across and cover a couple of times on the left side, he was working so hard to get the ball back and it didn't allow him to attack.
  2. The impression I got from that post was that you turned up today wanting us to fail, you don't seemed to have taken notice of anything positive at all.
  3. I agree M'voto had a couple of lapses in concentration but I thought he was as solid as ever for the most part. As for Diamond, I think that's unfair, won almost everything in the air today and read the game very very well. What he lacked in pace he made up for with his positioning!
  4. Offensively it's difficult to comment, Sheffield United were very well drilled in defence and made it very tough for Smith, even when he did flick it on they seemed to have it covered. The midfield struggled to really take hold of the game, Furman was steady as usual but Lund was quiet and was poor at dead balls. I'm afraid Reid was very poor today, just seemed to walk around and didn't really make much of an attempt in the air or to chase balls, complete contrast to Parker who came on and threw himself at everything and chased every ball with speed. Defensively I thought Diamond and Mvoto were superb, dealt with Porter in the air with ease and read the game very well. The entire team seemed to fall apart in the 10 minutes after half time and apart from Furmans header cleared off the line we couldn't really get back in to it. They were a decent side though and I fully expect that they will be up there at the end of the season.
  5. Could be too late? Would we do that anyway even if it wasn't?
  6. I'm probably biased, I am getting fed up of watching my team under perform down at the dump. Regardless of whether it's good or bad for football, i'm just saying I think it will happen soon.
  7. What about 06/07? I didn't hear any complaints about the rugby when we made it into the play offs. It's nothing more than an excuse used when we aren't playing well, many other football clubs share grounds with rugby clubs. Reading did well enough last season.
  8. Chris Hamilton is holding a fans forum on the 16th of August to talk about the ground situation for Oldham Rugby, my guess is that Oldham RL will be back at BP soon. I'm a fan of both clubs, even if I had no interest in rugby I still wouldn't have a problem with it. Latics get money through rent, Roughyeds have a good place to play, everybody is happy.
  9. So they are not getting new ones made? Would of bought one of these but they are having a laugh if they think a mistake is going to make people want one more.
  10. Hopefully we get to see 3,000+ Yorkshire men sat in complete silence as we play them off the park, as it was with Huddersfield last season.
  11. Referee - Darren Drysdale Alfred Greenwood and Danny Markham Fourth Official - Ricky Wootton
  12. I'm not bothered about looking out on the other stands. Would much rather sit in a modern stand with good facilities and watch the game myself.
  13. RIP to a fellow Latic and condolences to her family.
  14. Jesus christ, having some f**kin faith will you!
  15. I reckon they will easily manage over 2,500. They use a loyalty points system and tickets are currently only on sale to people with over 5,000, hopefully more sell when they go on general sale.
  16. This. In terms of transport we are not much different to London really, train to Manchester and then just get on any of about 4 buses to the ground, probably easier than London in some cases. I'm not completely clued in on the Metrolink system, will there be a station closer to BP? Or are they just using the old train stations?
  17. Nice idea! Always liked collecting stuff like this, maybe if they sell well enough they could do one for each home game?
  18. I don't understand the part about being cut away from the national rail network? Sounds like he just thinks we've ripped up the railway tracks and is unaware we are currently building metrolink services? Or am I misunderstanding the post?
  19. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11713_6961241,00.html Could be a tough season for them, lost Dawson and a couple of others as well.
  20. At the end of the day, we haven't got enough money to sign a squad full of proven League One players. For clubs like Ourselves, you've just got to take risks on these young hungry players and trust the coaching staff to turn them into players capable in League One. You only have to look at the likes of Warren Feeney to see that signing experienced players can be just as much of a risk.
