  1. EDIT:Sorry, Only the Championship final is at Wembley, the other two are at Old Trafford.
  2. Most of them are recent as I have the memory of a goldfish!
  3. The attendance yesterday was entirely expected, Rochdale have no fans and so it was up from previous weeks anyway. The game was fantastic, much improved from the boys and new signing Forber had a good game, took the pressure off Roden which is what we have needed. Beating a Rochdale emphatically yesterday was important for confidence yesterday but we have a big test on Monday against Whitehaven. If we're going to be up there at the end of the season we have to beat teams like Whitehaven and Doncaster next week.
  4. Couldn't agree more, the council have killed sport in this town. We were once a big club with the likes of Wigan and Leeds but due to the council not giving two :censored:s about Rugby or Football they both dwindling in the lower tiers. You only have to look at Wigan and Hull, football and rugby both sharing stadium and both doing well in good leagues. I honestly believe if the whole Sports Park 2000 had of come through we could be doing the same as Wigan and Hull, the council obviously fail to see what is needed and couldn't care less about us. The high admission prices don't make sense for Oldham RL, last season crows at Whitebank where around 800-900, 900 paying £8 is £7200, while 500 paying £12 is £6000. Hamilton has no business what so ever and is slowly killing our club completely, he scared Quinn off who was our only chance taking the club forward.
  5. Yes, I would expect around a thousand from us will make the trip down, a lot will be taking friends for this one and some will come back for the trip. The die hard fan base has dropped from a good 800+ to around 500+ now which is mainly due to people giving up with Hamilton. I heard from somebody we have the highest admission prices in the league, when you look at where we're playing that is just unacceptable.
  6. It's going to be disappointing missing the last game of the season but I think it's going to be a one off to watch Roughyeds in a stadium like that. The last SL team we drew was Wakefield away and it was a complete and utter dump, it also looked like they fiddled the attendance. I went to the first CC final at the new Wembley when it was Catalans v Saints, great day out. Sat low down in the East Stand, had a good view but because of the shape of the roof that corner of the stadium seems to have the sun shining on it, never been as hot in my life. Will always prefer the SL grand final though, it's a great night out every year and it normally takes my mind of Roughyeds latest Grand Final loss
  7. Are they paying for a new 20,000 seater stadium?
  8. Nice to see some of you at least taking an interest in what we are doing this season Last year we suffered very very badly when our Stand Off Neil Roden was injured, the only 3 games we lost all year, he didn't play in. Nothing has changed this year and as you will have seen, we've had heavy losses against Swinton, Workington and Keighley without him. All it needs is our chairman to get his hand in his pocket and invest in a good half back and I can see us having enough to be there or there abouts again this year. Whitebank is a dump, that's all thanks to our fantastic council who as we all know, couldn't give a f*ck about sport in this town We've got Rochdale at home this Friday and in our usual good Friday derby game, should be a good match and hopefully it will be three points for the Roughyeds!
  9. Rochdale are a decent team, but Huddersfield and Peteborough are both a class above them.
  10. My guess would be the new shirt, we're only due a new away shirt though aren't we. Isn't the Cabrini deal up at the end of the season as well?
  11. I said earlier in the week we should throw Reid up front, he's not going to get fit sat on the bench and he looks like he has potential.
  12. Probably on a hiding to nothing by sticking up for him, but he's not exactly had a proper run in the team has he? Dickov seems insistent on playing Tonk every game, despite the fact that he clearly needs a rest. Throw Feeney and Reid on together and see what we get, what have we got to loose?
  13. I honestly can't remember the save, I think I saw it, but maybe I didn't. Somebody remind me what happened?
  14. Watched the derby game in the Warehouse, seemed mixed and there was no bother.
  15. This, the current away kit is alright but I would prefer to have a proper tangerine away kit next year.
  16. What would people suggest for tomorrow, Bus or Train?
  17. If you've got LP, he scored a good goal against Plymouth Argyle and a good goal in the JPT against Chesterfield.
  18. Just one of those days, we seemed very slow on the ball today and apart from Aidy White nobody seemed to run at a Rochdale team that looked very poor to me. It would be easy to blame Hazell completely but I thought he was on top of O'Grady for most of the game until he decided to pass the ball to him, didn't see the penalty so can't comment on that.
  19. I suppose you just have to take the rough with the smooth, Dickov has done an amazing job this season but tonight he showed his inexperience. Just got to forget about it and move on to Saturday, third if we win.
